i have noticed from the boards that people have been posting up that they have griptape on the bottom of the board one the nose and tail. when purchasing a freestyle deck does it come with an extra grip tape to do that or do you do it yourself?

Because when i do my caspers my back foot always slides off well does it help or is it used for other tricks as well?

I think you should make that pic in your sig smaller.

You mean skids, not griptape ==

No Steven, he means griptape. I put some under my board all the time.

When I purchased my complete, it never came with any, but I'm sure you could ask John/Witter/Jeremy/etc. to put some on for you.

And I agree with McCrank.

Kay, turns out this weird phenomenon does happen.

Doesn't skids do the same thing?

And I blocked his image with firefox a long time ago =]

grip on the bottom of the board is for the exsact reason i have it on the top of my board, for grip. It helps alot with more harder casper flips.

Skids are more so for board protection from the likes of capsers/5050s and tail scapes though some people also find it helps keep feet in place during capsers.

Decomposed will do it for you for free, but its really not that big of a deal to do yourself...Skids will help with caspers as well. They kind of give you a concrete boundary to force your foot to be on the board (as opposed to half on/half off).

Agreed. I don't think I've actually fully read any posts that this guy has made just because I don't want to scroll over to see the rest of it...

when you grip your board you have extra left over from the sides and corners
thats what most people use on the bottom

I did that with the board I got from Renna, I measured the grip though on the new board KB got me that I wont use til this one is jacked to hell and back cause I save the best for last haha.

But as you can see here though, I used parts that I measured and I had 2 inches left so it was a plus I saw other ppl do it but thats all I could fit...it really does help alot I can't do rail to caspers nearly as good as I can do rail to anti-caspers so that helps a ton lol.

Heh, 1680X1050 monitor does wonders, but I still blocked that beast of a sig.

On Topic: I've even laid down some grip on the tail of my street board, though I only had enough to put a tiny bit up toward my truck so while it doesn't interfere with snapping the tail at all, it also doesn't do a whole lot of good. Though I have noticed even with that little bit I can casper much better than on the nose of the board.

ummmm i don't know what wheels they are i found them at a skatepark one time but i know have spitfires.

i have taken the my sig down and are currently making one in photoshop.

yes i had an idea that it was for caspers and stuff. never done it myself cause i always skate street boards but i am gonna get a freestyle board soon so i will do it then.

so you have all really answerd my question about the griptape. so some companies do it and some you have to do yourself.

hmmm interesting thanx guys

Most companies will do it if you ask them to, otherwise they won't.
