Has anyone heard it? Its called "Lets Dance to Joy Division" by The Wombats. I really really like it. Its very different true, yet it has everything a good song needs. Nice vocals, good lyrics, catchy upbeat melody. I think its a just plain fun song.

What do you all think?

It is a reference to the Joy Division song Transmission. The ending lyrics of that song say "Lets dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio..." I havent heard the single yet since im at school, but I know it is a reference, lol

What I find ironic is that they have such an upbeat song, yet in the title is a reference to one of the "gloomiest post-punk bands of all time" and their singer Ian Curtis committed suicide. I get that it connects to the Joy Division lyrics, but it is still ironic that it is so upbeat to a band so morose, lol. Plus it mentions it in the lyrics, lol.

I hate how you take such a good song,
that nobody else listens to,
and then it's made into an iTune's single,
and everyone is singing it.

it gets old.

Lol, i know. Its like some people only listen to music that is the "hottest thing" on iTunes, or because it is what MTV wants everyone to like so they make more money.

it maybe different with the canadian and american stores for itunes but generally the free single is kinda ****ty. they have some good ones like metric, tokyo police club, kinski, and immaculate machine. here it doesnt seem to change their popularity.

I'm not like that. I hate popular bands. This song just struck me as different and clever. So I liked it nonetheless. Aint a sin is it?
My fave bands:
August Burns Red
Enter Shikari
Hilltop Hoods

ect.
I like hardcore/rap/metal/alternative you name it. Everything but country and death metal. I also hate all the Itunes top 100. They all seem to be pointless songs by the same person over and over again about girls on poles or how much money I got.
