So I'm on my second camera now and im looking to get something a little more advanced, so I'm looking into the market of SLR's.

I'd like to get a Canon camera, because I'm used to them and my dads a photographer and has a Canon. Do you think I should save the extra money to buy the more advanced/newer Xsi, or do you think I should save the money by getting an Xti.

Also, do you find much difference between the two cameras and what would you say are their pros and cons.

you decide

Since your dad is a photographer you should take his opinion quite seriously :)

Get an XTi. If you're going to spend the money for an XSi, then get a 30D. I chose XTi over XSi mainly because I could care less about the XSi's new "revolutionary" features. I don't need more megapixels, who gives a **** about live view, and bigger screen woop-de-****ing-doo. So basically choose between XTi or 30D, I'd pick the 30D just because I don't like how small my XTi body is.

Don't forget to get the 50mm f/1.8 lens with your purchase, it's the best $90 you'll spend.

Yeah definitely get a 30D for the same price as an XSi
