Now that it's official, what are you guys looking for? This is what I think:

Walking
-This is the most obvious one. Hopefully they make it look good, Tony Hawk's doesn't look good

Improved Video Editing/Capturing
-You should be able to save more clips and edit them together. Also, rather than sticking to their few crappy angles that do not show anything well, one should be able to ride as a separate "filmer" in your replay. Let me explain. I've seen my brother be able to go anywhere and view anything in his replay of himself in Halo 3. It would make the replay so much better.

Level Creation
-I spend a lot of time creating parks in tony hawk, it would be way better in skate

Equipment wear
-Your equipment should definitely wear down and boards breaking and such

More choices
-There are very few choices in terms of boards and shoes and such, there needs to be more

Get rid of Death Races
-I hate 'em.

more variety of tricks impossibles, maybe caspers? (as in slides)

I really hope they don't add equipment wear... seriously it's a video game.. breaking **** isn't any fun

I'm with you on the death races they stink...
But i think walking will be the best thing they could do to make this game better

adding some cheats would be cool to, like lower gravity.. or remember how in GTA you could start flying in your car if you went fast enough?

Freestyle mode? Like, as the y button isn't in much use, you could use it to alternate freestyle/skate mode. in freestyle, the footwork is in the right anolog, like walk the dog would be lots of pop shuv its (if you do it with your hands, you can kinda imagine it), and the left analog would be for...i dunno. But the grab buttons would be used for 1 handed, 2 handed, or no handed 50-50s, stuff like that.

Also, more brands. And death races are easy as hell >.<

more tricks, walking, improved camera angle, improved video editor.

Pinpoints on Map
-Be able to mark spots on your map, it would be such a dramatic change

Board designing
-make your own board!

Better Bailing
-? Basically there are falls where you just walk off instead of slamming uber hard. Also a stat system should be set up for doing big tricks over big gaps doesn't happen everytime (example: when you start out, you can only ollie say a ten set. THe more you ollie that sized gap, the easier it is to do more basic tricks (kickflip, shuv it, etc.) and then you progress to tre flips and such, simulating the sort of "confidence" factor)

More tricks
-Airwalks, forward flips, hospital flips, etc.

Balance system
-I remember hearing how people would try a demo of skate and wouldn't be able to make it down the rail. I remember reading "We want you to be as proud of your first 8 stair rail as you would be in real life." What happened to this??

1. That your board can break this time around.
2.You can actaully break your bones now.
3.More songs!
4.More pros!
5.More board brands.
6.More weel brands.
7.More truck brands.
8.Bruises and blood.
9.When going fast and you bail your shirt or jeans rip.
10.More tricks like primo,casper, and other free style tricks.

Wear and Tear
Boards that could snap any moment, wheels that have flatspots, etc. That would make the game so much more fun. I know, all of that in real life sucks, but it would make it so much more realistic and it would make you think twice about trying that frontflip down the 10 set.

More Challenges/Photo Shoots/Skate Games
If they're going to add Wear and Tear, they better add more challenges to make some money and get famous. It seemed like there was so much limitation as far as challenges go, since I wasn't looking to change my sponsors, just maybe film a nice line for a video or take a picture for a mag to earn some cash.

Better Physics: Bails, Ability to do sets, Rails, etc.
The same bail over and over gets really old. I don't ollie a 8 set and bail by slowly falling over backwards. I want to see the board slipping out from under me, my deck snapping when I don't land bolts, etc. I also don't want to be able to start the game and backside flip a 15 set, it just doesn't happen that way.

Item Variety
Skate1 had such a terrible item line, there were absolutely no good boards, shoes, shirts, nothing! I want to see DLC left and right with new boards as they come out, new shoes, everything. This was probably one of the most annoying things about the original game.

WALKING
No THPS caveman bull**** either. I want some control while walking. I don't want to be running all the time, or walking so slow it's annoying, I don't want to be turning when I don't mean to turn, or stopping two seconds later than I meant to. I want to climb those stairs and do the sets I couldn't reach in the original game.

This game better be sick... don't **** it up EA.

GET THE EFFING NPCs OUT OF MY EFFING BOWL GODDAMMIT!!!!!

walking: it p*sses me off when i dont do what i wanted to down a spot, and forget to set a session marker so that i cant get back up and try again. as said above, it better not be like tony hawks either.

graphics: especially bails, when i fall off the side of a mega ramp i dont land it and just fall to my knees, or am i doing something wrong?

yea the crib thing is cool...but say you're on one side of the map, and you wanna skate a set on the other side of town...so you're 80% there and you decide to kickflip and your board snaps...but the skateshop is back on the other side of town where you came from...that would suck so hard in a video game..your gun doesnt jam in halo does it?? didnt think so lol

I'm not asking for that kind of reality in the game, I'm just saying you shouldn't be able to suck, big spin flip an 8 set, **** it up and not break your board.

And if you don't have a spare they could just send you automatically to the skate shop.

Everyone basically covered everything I wanted, but there is one thing that's not in here. FILMERS MODE, now I'm not talking about replays, no, no, no, I'm talking about you are the filmer, You get to set up the shots, You get to follow the person skating around and flim. I haven't really worked out all the details yet, but that's a awsome Idea I think. It would be a great mulitiplayer mode.

front foot impossible-someone in this thread suggested a full circle with the right analog for an impossible so it could be the same thing except you start at the top

no comply-you can already do it (if you push mongo right before a drop/ramp :icon_bigg) but seriously...it really depends on how they work getting off one's board (if they put in that feature) and then make a one foot version

ollie north-best suggestion: ollie, move analog back to middle then back to the top again real fast.

forward flip!! =)-ollie to nollie hardflip, duh!

casper flip.-so you'd do like a kickflip and then move it around the edge to the bottom (if the impossible is like that)

I think a better way to do film challenges would be to have set challenges in an area. Some challenges in the first game had gates where you had to do a flip trick or nollie. The filming challenges should be like "flip trick this set, grind this rail, and grab over this gap." More difficult challenges would have more specific tricks like "Back 5-0 this rail, frontside flip this gap" etc.

and iu think theres more than enough NPC's, they get annoying in storys mode, and soon as you start sessing one spot, there will be liek10 pedestrians hanging around there and not leave, but get in your way, its really annoying

I think the reason they're placing the game in the same city is so that they can concentrate on adding a ton of great features without worrying about redesigning the entire world, as they do want to release it about the same time as Tony Hawk.

I tried to send in this whole thread a few weeks ago but it's really hard. There is no email for skate (all the other ea games have individual representatives) so I tried to send it to the customer relations for all games but even though I filled out every form, it said I was missing information :\ They make it so difficult for us to help them! You can do those. Gazelles > shoeves and 360 in the same way

Bigspins >shoves and 180 same way

I felt the trick system was kind of.. eh.. hard as hell to grasp. I would put the analog stick the way it told me, and it would do something completely different, which is why I suck at online play( or maybe I just suck anyways? any tips on doing tricks better? ). They need to fine tune the controls a tiny bit. You should also be able to skate with the team you are sponsored by, and go to like demos and stuff. You should be able to have an apartment. Boards and shoes should show wear and tear, but they should never become unskateable. Freestyle tricks.

The only thing I want, is the ability to get off the board. Then I will be a happy man.

inverts and better story mode. have more choises in what you want to do. clothing, bearing sponsors.

lol, its all on fisheye effect. if you use a widescreen TV you can see the vig and even on a normal TV you can see the distortion.
But i cant wait for the more realistic graphics, and the hopeful walking

Progression. Start out like it was your first day skating, once you ride more tricks come easier to you. Once you get ollies then you move to like shuvs and kickflips and what not. Not right away being able to 540 a 10 set or hardflip on flat ground. Also your tricks get higher and cleaner as you move on.

THE ONLY THING I WANT IN EA SKATE 2 IS TO GET OFF OF YOUR BOARD.

Harder difficulty.

This is the only thing I really think is vital. They could do this in so many different ways.
0 Harder balancing for manuals.
0 Levels of pop that you have to earn, so you can't 360 flip or hard flip or triple flip at the start of the game.
0 You know how that the faster you throw the stick up the higher you go? That should be more of a challenge and play more of a role in the tricks you do.

Nice ideas for the freestyle side of it by the way, but it would be fairly random and redundant. "Skate" is mainly a street style skating game, and it fits the bill really well without needing to add in a million little features every single game.

Y'know, when all is said and done I actually trust the homies. They captured skating really well, amazingly well and I reckon we should just sit back and see where they take the series.

Don't know if any of this has been said yet as I haven't read but:

1. When I bump into something don't automatically make me go switch in the opposite direction!! This ruins so many games of death race as well as other aspects of the game

2. I'd like a zoomable map ala Google Earth. The map is so huge I'd like to browse a map for cool spots rather than have to leave it up to self discovery.

3. We need an unlock button of some type to get the damn skater off doing a trick. In other words, sometimes when playing death race if you ollie the game sometimes automatically locks you into grinding on a curb or something and ollieing almost never gets you off. I'd like a button, or button combo that says, "STOP FREAKING GRINDING ALREADY!!!" LOL.

4. They need to implement a hard drive installation as a buffer - like GTA IV. I'm sick of finding a great spot and having to wait for load times everytime I go back to my session marker that's actually not far away at all.

5. Maybe a walk/run option like in Tony Hawk. Maybe it easier to get to whacky spots or get out of ackward positions.

I actually just bought skate online today and i can't wait to play. From what I've read on the first page it seems it's going to be fun but gets boring after awhile?

I like the breaking your deck and etc idea because thats a real aspect of skateboarding. And idk but what if there was a mode where you could just start off and slowly progress, therefore going to skate spots and filming to try and get sponsored.

Also I wouldnt mind some better looking hats..I hated the ones in the last game, death races are good and all. Just not in story mode! Keep it in the online play :) [Because I own in them]. Im not sure what else the game could use. Oh bigger maps. I know the last game was huge, but lets think bigger :)!

Ah, just remembered another I've been wishing for... distance camera for replays!! I love the distanced camera the game uses when you beat the score in "Own the Spot". It just makes the line look so much cooler and you can see how big gaps and jumps are and such.

More tricks- It would be funner if there was more tricks to do like late hardflips, big spins, impossibles, etc

Equal spinning speed- On flatground when i do an ollie or a kickflip it's pretty much impossible to do a 360 without using that technique with the right analog stick. But when I do a double kickflip and spin I can easily complete a 360

Walking and Jumpling- This would make it so much easier to get up the stairs or getting over ledges instead of going all the way around

In S.K.A.T.E online- Late tricks should be allowed. And it should be like SKATE here where everybody takes turns setting the trick instead waiting till the other person bails. One person setting the trick the whole time is a HUGE advantage. If they did a varial kickflip when they meant to do a 360 flip they won't get a letter or anything negative.

Better Respawn Places- This would be most useful for Spot Race. I bail on a stairset and then what happens? I SPAWN RIGHT ON THE STAIRS! Wtf kind of BS is that. Or when you bail trying to trick over a ledge or stairset at least respawn at a point where there's enough walkway to get enough speed instead spawning right in front of the ledge or stairset.

Less Online Errors- It could be just me but there are way more online errors on EA Nation than any other game I play online.

More Realistic Bails- When I bail on a rail not only do i sometimes go flying but it looks whack as hell as you fall down. Take out the ragdoll physics crap. Also make them look realer as it would in a bail. If I were to mess up a rail his hands should go in front of him trying to block himself and his whole body from hitting the ground instead of making it look like what comes out of my ass.

Able to control pop- When I ollie I reach a good height but sometimes that's bad. I see a good bench and when I try to ollie onto it to grind it i pretty much ollie over 3/4 of the thing. Yes to reach lower height you just don't bend down and quickly do the down up motion but when I do that the animation looks terrible.

Pedestrians- So I'm trying to 3 flip a stair set but then pedestrians block it. I'm coming at max speed but then they don't do **** to make an attempt to move the hell out of the way. I don't wanna bail when i was just ready to trick the set.

[B]Able to control pop

You can control pop. Flick slower and your character won't go as high. The faster you flick the higher he goes. As for pedestrians and cars... yeah they're annoying. I turn them off when freeskating. But with them in the game you can get some funny instances (ie. truck busting them in the head when coming off a ledge :))
