So after reading the thread about the X-Box 360 basically blowing up a house, I thought it would be good to start a thread where people can post any recent incidents that have occurred or true horror stories that pertains to video games, whether it be on the news or in your personal life... Maybe how you played a game for so long you started to dream consistently about it, or applied the game to real-life... It's always fun to hear how gaming is bad for you! Or so our parents say...


I used to play Lineage 2. I played it in beta and continues after its release for a few years. This MMO is one of the hardest MMOs to play of all the ones that are available. It requires hours upon hours of your time for an endless grind for your levels. I played this game so much, it almost took over my life... I basically played this game literally every day, whenever I had free time. My social life suffered, which is why I am glad I don't play it anymore... That's why I say to everyone who plays MMOs, play them in moderation... They CAN be major addicting...

just cause trying to be the best was all that was important. i spent at weekends like 4 til 12 then get up at 8 then game until 3. sad times where you just cant get out of a game, and if your not online you feel like your missing out. but thank god ive sortof grown out of it.

Well the only story I have is me almost making my girlfriend cry. I told her to check out Fatal Frame 2 and I got up and changed clothes and put on make up and fake blood. I was standing by her door and I clicked off the light and walked down the hall and stood there. When she looked and said my name I walked towards her and then just fell and started crawling towards her. She got so freaked out, but then sorta kicked my ass for it.

Other then that games are games.
