If you are thinking about grabbing this bundle (which I am), I suggest that you be at your local game store at 10 am. I went to my local Gamestop location to see if I can possibly order it, and they told me that I couldn't because of the small supply that they are getting in. Apparently, Sony already decided to discontinue the package before it was released, so this bundle is for a limited time only... Very limited.

Yeah it was planned to be, but Im sure they'll still have the game with the bundle. The only thing really different is the PS3 is in Metal Gear grey (or maybe gun metal grey) instead of black and sliver trim.

It comes with a duel shock controller as well as the LE of MGS4 plus a sweet gun metal ps3 hehe.

Yea, Sony decided on discontinuing the 80 gb after the motorstorm bundle, but then decided to reissue it for the MGS4 bundle. And now, they just decided to only release a small amount, and actually discontinue it. I'll be there at 10 am to get it!

There are currently no 80gb bundles in stores, unless they still have some of the motorstorm bundles left over (which were also discontinued). They MGS4 80 GB bundle is being released this thursday, but just a small amount of them; Gamestop will not let you preorder any since there are getting just a small amount of them. Once they run out, that's it; no more 80 gb PS3s in stores.

I plan on being at my local gamestop when they open Thursday morning... That is, if they are not doing a midnight release, which I will find out tomorrow. If I fail at getting one, I'll just get a 60 gb.

In production, no. The 60 GB has been discontinued as well, though there is apparently an ample supply to last consumers for months to come. Sony is not releasing anymore information about their hardware plans until all of the 60 gb are sold and the "condition of the market is evaluated".

Nope. The gun metal one is only available in Japan. The bundle that is available in the US that came out thursday is black... Sorry man, I bought it.

I was correcting Ibanez, who was saying that the only difference between the normal console and the one that came in the bundle was that the one that comes in the bundle is gun metal... But the ones that are readily available to the public in the US is black. So if POUNSTER were to go to any store to pick up the bundle, he's gonna get a black console, not a gun metal one. I wasn't saying that a gun metal PS3 bundle did not exist, just the ones that were readily available here are black.

So, no real winner here, since we were actually pushing 2 different points.
