The only grinds/slides I can do are BS Boardslides and FS 50-50s and I get the concept of FS Boardslides. I can ollie and get on the rail okay but I can't slide it because I always land on my heels. That causes me to either jump off the board automatically or I think I have a chance of still sliding which in the end causes me to run backwards and fall. I try to lean more on my toes but my weight just shifts automatically to my heels. Sometimes I lean on my toes and slide but I stick at 90 when my board comes off the rail. Help?

Btw posi to anyone who has good advice. I'll have to go outside and actually try for myself first so I.O.U.

For FS boardslides you obviously have to do a BS 180 so just pretend you are learning those over again but just turn 90 and lean over the rail.

Bend your knees to absorb the impact when locking into the slide, and don't forget to turn your shoulders as well. Your weight should be over the center of the board.

A. When you pop your 180, and get on the rail, lean forward a bit to avoid falling backwards.

B. when you are on the rail, stay forward-ish leaning so that you still slide and can get off.

C. sometimes it just sticks for no apparent reason, keep going.

D. TURN YOUR SHOULDERS WHEN YOU COME OFF it's impossible to stress this enough. thats ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY

E. bend your knees, it helps loads!

hope i helped, let me know
