View Full Version : the gamecube thread Austin08 06-10-2008, 06:19 PM this is for gamecube holders like me and what not.does anyone have super smash bros. melee? DJ Hankey 06-10-2008, 06:44 PM Well dont you think that gamecube is kinda out of style. So yeh, i used to play game cube all the time at my freinds house, the only games that i thought that owned gamecube was Super Smash Bros and Mario Party. unalive 06-10-2008, 06:51 PM I recently traded my Gamecube for a trumpet. But it was fun while it lasted. Casper10 06-10-2008, 09:44 PM I have one and i have melee. mazonemayu 06-11-2008, 02:12 AM Well dont you think that gamecube is kinda out of style. A console isn't out of style as long as there's good games that you haven't played on it, or good games you own & you're still enjoying for that matter. This is why I still play dreamcast almost every single day. 2bad companies push (most) folks in buying their next overhyped system before the last is exhausted MRCK 06-11-2008, 05:49 AM I'm a big fan of the Super Smash Bros. series. My younger brothers and I play it all the time, I use Yoshi and Kirby mostly. DJ Hankey : who cares if a particular console is 'out of style'. NES, SNES, and the original Game Boy are decades-old, yet they have some of the best games ever released. I hate all those new generation consoles with 3D effects and stuff. They may be amazing technically-wise, I don't enjoy them at all, as if the purpose of video games (fun) had been left behind as technology progressed. Austin08 06-11-2008, 11:44 AM Well dont you think that gamecube is kinda out of style.no...there is one game that will never get out of style "super smash bros. melee" im on ebay right now looking for the second one(if theres even a second one) Swan 06-11-2008, 12:25 PM Yes i have a copy of that game. :) its awesome. mazonemayu 06-11-2008, 03:04 PM DJ Hankey : who cares if a particular console is 'out of style'. I totally agree, most new shuff looks awesome but is far too easy try finisling Ghosts & Goblins on 1 credit, now there's a real challenge Austin08 06-11-2008, 03:35 PM from this day on this thread will be known as "the nintendo thread".if anyone wants to talk about nintendos do it here:icon_bigg Austin08 06-13-2008, 12:07 PM i got beavis and butt head for the snes yesterday.I didnt get to play it yet.does anyone have it and is it good? RIP_BOB_GNARLY 06-13-2008, 01:33 PM I remember Super Smash Bros from the Nintendo 64. It is one of my favorite games of all time. I bet I got my Nintendo 64 laying somewhere in my garage. I wanna play it right now. lol Toad_Freestyle 06-17-2008, 04:45 AM i love super smash bros and re4 rocks clearly, i loved my gamecube but i think i lost or sold most of my games. 505088K 06-17-2008, 08:35 AM I love playing old games!!! who needs this "new generation" sh*t??!!! Instead of giving out lots of money for a PS3, I grab my old GameBoy and play Mario all night long!! Toad_Freestyle 06-17-2008, 04:36 PM Hell yeaaaaa! wheres the snes! Core 11-10-2008, 06:47 AM haha I had a gamecube and I have tony hawks underground 2 and super smash bros. melee. I sold it ages ago for 40 bucks with the controls and games of course. Snowjoe 11-10-2008, 06:51 AM Yeah man, I still love that console, although saying that I play my n64 more often, SSB, mario kart, mario 64, goldeneye, banjo kazooie, diddy kart racing, perfect dark and world cup 98 lol. Too good. Sonix 11-10-2008, 10:42 AM A friend of mine owns a GC and SSBM. We used to play it few times a week, 4 friends. It was pwn, until I got Wii and Brawl. More characters + maps = more fun. So we are sticking with that. Ryusuke 11-11-2008, 11:35 PM I swear to God Gamecube was so much funner than the Wii, such memorable games... like...Metroid Prime...Windwaker...Melee... ... ... ... Ibanez 11-12-2008, 12:22 AM Never owned a Gamecube but since the Wii can play GC dics I use that to play them. I have Resident Evil 0-3, Soul Calibur 2 (hate it cause Tira's not in it), and I have Product Number 3. I never got into the Super Smash Brother games. And Ryu, I disagree wii has Fatal Frame 4 but give it some time can't say theres nothing on the wii just yet. Theres still a Final Fantasy game to come out on it that I want. twitchy_foot082 11-13-2008, 09:16 PM I have a gamecube. Im thinking about trading it in and my like six games so i can get some money to buy COD:World at War. Man i remember those days of playing mario kart and smash brothers for like 4 hours so much fun.And personly i think the game cube destroys the wii. the wii is like for litlle children it entertains me for like 5 minutes. Sonix 11-14-2008, 01:11 AM You clearly can't say Gamecube > Wii. Wii can play all the gamecube games and you can use GC controllers and memory cards. Not to mention you get own games (some sequels as well) and all the VC games. mazonemayu 11-21-2008, 03:56 AM anyone know if there's an official vga cable/box for the GC? (can't find anything bout it on the web), and if not, what is a good 3rd party one? |
