I live somewhere where a fair amount of ppl skate but we have no where 2 go. we get kicked out and get in even more trouble when we burst out laughing after being kicked out(itz pretty comical) they were going 2 build us a skatepark but then they didnt! and now ther is more rumors that they will build one but i heard we dont have enough cash. so how could me and my friends possibly raise money so we dont have 2 skate at the beach wher ther is emo ppl and ppl smoking pot?

thank u for your help

if you google "get a skatepark" or etc., a ton of organizations will pop up that can be of help...

^ A good contribution by silentscary. But i would recommend going to town hall and proposing a bill of some sort, or making a deal that you wont skate in the streets if they build a park.

Either get an organization to help you like mentioned before, or go to your city with alll your friends. Tell them the facts: "the reason why we are skating on city property is becuase we don't have a place set aside just for us." If they agree, then you will be doing fundraising for a very very long time.
Don't give up.

1) Hold a meeting amongst yourselves to organise a gameplan.
2) Start a petition
3) Write a letter to your local representative
4) Send him the petition
5) Hope he/she agrees

Tips:
Always be polite when dealing with the people you are appealing to.
Put everything in writeing, hell maybe even get someone to take the minutes at your meetings.
And if you get it, help the council every step of the way. Otherwise they might botch the design.

First go to the town hall and propose it. Then try to make an agreement with them.

Whats wrong with emos?

Start a petition and pass it around in school. That's what my friend did and we got a skatepark. Crappy, yet still a skatepark.

Build the **** your self. It isn't to hard. Just find some nice concrete and build some wood ramps and stuff.

Make requests at the town hall, talk to organizatons that can help like silentscary said, and collect petitions and stuff from people, so that they see you have support and people agree to it

Most councils hate doing any real work. So a really good way to approach it is get as much resources and information as you can together, and take it to them. There are a number of organisations out there that will be glad to support you getting these resources together. Do some research on the net and you will find there is plenty of stuff available.

But be warned that it takes hard work and commitment to get a skate park built. However, the results are well worth the effort. :)
