I just set up my OJII's again with speed demons 8 ball bearings. I have this problem where the inner race (innermost ring that touches the axle) on the bearing closest to the truck pops out of place whenever I land wrong on something like a 540 bigspin or an impossible. When this happens the wheel becomes effectively unusable until the bearing is fixed. (A good smack pops the ring back in).

I can't remember whether or not I made a thread about this before, has anyone had this problem with OJII's and other bearings?

It has happened to all four bearings on the inside of the wheel, and did not happen when I switched them out for another model bearing on two of the wheels. They can be popped back into place, but it just happens again.

If no one else has had this problem with OJII's then there is a good chance there's something inherently wrong with these bearings.

i think i had the same problem with some ousts. At the time i thought it was just because the bearings were old so i switched to bones reds and they've been working fine ever since

I have this problem with my bearings, I don't think they're a special make though they came with an old complete. I use to keep fixing it, but I've learned to just ignore it.

Something different or less severe must have been happening for you then, because if it happens, I can step on the board, push really hard, then roll about ten feet before I come to a dead stop.

Welcome to my life. 10 feet sounds about right, I normally need 4 or 5 good ushes to sustain speed for long enough. Makes riding the halfpipe interesting:tongue: I pop themback every once in a while, but one has actually stopping going in completely.
