Yes.. in most game of skate you should turn at least 270 if you want to count it as a 360. However, you can change the name and set a 180 pivot :)

well if you pivoted at 180, it would be a half cab pivot not an actual full cab, you should at least pivot at 270 for it to count, otherwise its technically just a half cab pivot.

Ugh. I hate when people call it a halfcab pivot. I'd still consider it a cab. Just a poorly rotated cab. You can divide any rotation up. THAT'S NOT A BACKSIDE FLIP. IT'S A 90 FLIP 90 NOSE PIVOT. MORON. It seems like some guy in a gos randomly thought up this whole halfcab pivot vs cab just to find more things to letter people.

I agree with Lemons.

QFT, just because the éS game of skate does it, it doesn't mean everyone else has to...

It counts in nollie and fakie stance because the weight distribution is the same for a halfcab pivot / 180 nollie pivot as for a caballerial / 360 nollie. However in regular and switch stance 180 pivots and 360 ollies are completely different tricks, so yeah you would have to spin at least 270 degrees in the air for it to count. But in nollie and fakie stance it doesn't really matter.

Yea, it counts. If he say it isn't a cab, just say fine it's a fakie 180 pivot then.

id count it i guess but the trick looks better fully rotated in the air

uhhh make the rules before the gameYeah that's pretty much what I do when I play skate with anyone.

ehhh... I don't count really any pivots in skate fakie or nollie.. doesn't really matter. although I've never heard of the half-cab pivot..?

the whole like powerslide landing is good, it's pretty hard to slide anything more than 90 degrees and it's usually less.

I guess if you wouldn't see it in a professional video part, I wouldn't count it. and since pivots look ugly as ****...

is that true? well, it really does count because you can't pivot at 270. That would make it look mob and wouldn'y count. I've seen Chris Cole do things like that in the es' game of skate so it counts.

it counts if it's the set. even a 180 to fakie pivot is fine, since the other person just has to match what you did.

counting it as a match to a complete mid-air 360 is a different story though.

Everybody has their own rules for skate. Some count reverts and pivots, some don't. Some give 2 chances to match the final trick, some don't. Some count late flips, late shoves, and cross foot landings, some don't. It's all personal preference but the way I play it, it has to be at least 270 for it to count as a 360.

What was your freind even talking about, of coarse it counts. But it does'nt mean that he has to pivot, he can just half cab.
Trust me, me and my freind always have arguments on if a trick counted or not.

it counts, but if you're friend is getting mad about it, its probably because he's doing it better (full 360 in air?) and feels like he's being cheated out of a hard-earned trick.

idk bro, if someone sets a full cab all in air, it counts as long as you land it to anyone where i live lol :) it shouldn't matter, and when he's insulting you, like saying, "well you're a noob then!" just say "hell yes bro, ub3r stanky noob..thats me.." and he can't make fun of you any more cuz you acknowledged your nubbiness.

We count all the fakie/nollie 360 if they are 180 then pivoted. Even if he sets a pure 360 in air, you can match it with crappy, hardly popped 180 with lame ugly pivot. Its different on bs/fs 360's though, if its in air, you have to match it same way.

I would count it, but according to the rest, I guess not.

this arguement is so stupid.
you guys do realize what youre pretty much saying is that a 270 is a 360.
but its not.
it makes no difference whether its a 180 or 270, either way, its not a 360.

its a full cab either way, halfcab pivot is just as stupid as saying 3/4 cab pivot.
