Okay, so usually what hppens when I attempt a hardflip is my board only rotates ninety degrees.

Any help here? Like foot positioing.. how am I supposed to kick out?

Also, did you have your FS Shoves down before trying this?

i got these about a month ago

you dont really need your front shuvs down but it helps, anyway

1.face towards the nose

2.set your front foot about 2 inches behind the bolts and poited towards the nose(kind of like a 3 flip)

3. back foot whatever is comfortable, but i do mine like a FS flip

4.pop almost straight down and flick off the side with your front foot, if you popped hard enough it should have spun the whole thing

5.both feet will probably catch at the same time, but the more vertical you pop it the less you have to jump back......therefore easier

good luck

I can flip and rotate it most of the time I just cant get both feet off the ground without hitting the board thus stopping the spin

Billy man, the secret is moreso in the back foot then the front. When your in your stance like a Frontside Flip, and right as your pop the board, kickit straight out (like in kickball) with your backfoot, kinda sliding it across the tail (as a visual tip only), and do a frontside flip with your front foot, and keep in mind to not get in the habit of turning your shoulders. Thats how I learned them, and learned them quick mind you

It's easier to get the rotation if you do it more vertical like a hardflip, but not too vertical lol kinda diagnol, inbetween vertical and horizontal. Turn your shoulders before you pop too, easier to get the 180 then. ;)

+1 on being scared to get a board of the ass LOL.

when i do mine, i barely even use my front foot to kick off. it's all in how you pop your deck to rotate it. the hard part is getting your back foot back on the board.

give your fs shuv a little bit more of a nudge and your flick will also help it get the 180 also.

pitabred knows whats going on.
front shuvs aren't neccesary, i know a few people who can barely front shuv but have hardflips down...
only other tip i can give is kind of push it a bit with your back foot after you've popped it. And yeah, flicking right to the side is the way to go.

Well my fs shuv-its were like 1/5 when I learned hard flips. They aren't much better still though lol, but I can hard flip just fine. Same goes with varial heel, I guess fs shuv is just my weakness :)
