Go fast, and when your on the pole, throw all your body weight forward. Anticipate it.

it seems pretty mellow. just go for it at a decent speed and it should be easy. a helluva lot easier than the polejam i made. that thing was scary. high angle and had a sharp ass edge at the end.

No, if you lean forward you're going to die.

Treat it like an ollie and push your board in front of you a little. (Don't overdo it.)

Yeah. Seriously, that's the worst advice I've ever heard. Have you even done a polejam before?

Like phlap said, it's more like an ollie. Since the one you're trying is mad mellow, a slight truck lift and throwing your shoulders up should be good enough. For a lot of polejams, it's almost like an ollie, but more thrusting your body upwards and having your knees bend with the board as it goes up. You're kind of olling with your whole body rather than just the legs.

Really just try it. You aren't going to kill yourself, you can figure out what to do in 2 tries on that.

Btw. I'd show the vid of this, but I'm not one to leak footy of my friends, so here's a vid grab.

As you can see, don't throw all your weight foward. Even with that 3 foot gap, none of that. Basically, a quick ollie motion and jumping is all it takes. If you balance right, the board will come up to you, like the picture shows.
