i can basically do a slappy boardslide

should i learn slappy 50 50s or regular boardslides??

im new too!

lol just learn both? btw boardslides get to be really easy if you just keep practicing them for a few days.

Are you trying to boardslide a ledge? If so, just put a little bit of candle wax up near where your wheels will drag, and it will help you learn the mechanics of the trick. You won't need the wax forever, but just in the beginning to allow for you to learn to ollie up and ONTO the top of the box.

If its a rail, then get in the habit of shifting your weight over to your lead foot, to scare it onto the rail. Should help with keeping it straighter, and less ''slappy'' as you say

If you can do slappy boardslides, I think you'd be able to regular boardslide, I mean you already have the slide down right?
