I landed today:

monster kickflips ~3 feet high. (getting consistant)
fakie bigspins
nollies
nollie shuvits
frontside popshuvits
halfcab heelflip!!!
50-50 grinds
5-0 grinds

i'm pretty happy that i still have it. this is very encouraging! i'm SOOO sore right now but it feels great knowing that I can still skate.

for tomorrow (if i'm not too sore), 360flips and hardflips are on the list of what to land.

they're not your average kickflips... they've got some height and that's how i've always done them :)

i often thought about if i would've continued to skate. ****, i'd be doing videos or be competing at the x-games by now :(

i was 13 when i started skating... i was landing consistant nollie kickflips within a year at that time. having unsupportive parents is the reason why i couldn't skate anymore. they only ever bought me ONE deck! yes, ONE deck! with my saved money i bought some used trucks and wheels. i had to use generic nuts and bolts for hardware. I was blessed to have had some great skate buddies. they were the ones that gave me their hand-me-downs because they never liked seeing me not skate due to breaking my board. also at the age of 13-14, i didn't have money to buy decks or whatever. that is the reason why i gave it up. it still makes me sad to think about it. this is something i'll always hold against my parents...

i started breakdancing after... how f'ing lame!

Pretty cool you got all that back already. But you did all this in one day after not skating for 10 years? or after some time?
I was skating under a train station a few weeks ago and some dudes came off the train who said they both skated in that same exact spot 10 years ago. it was pretty cool. they had flip flops on but they asked us is they could use our boards anyway. pretty cool knowing that we're sort of like the next generation of those guys and who they used to skate with there.

Lol count yourself lucky. I have to beg my mom to buy a deck with MY money.
