View Full Version : Trouble with browsers, help appreciated! J-Ros 06-13-2008, 10:39 AM Hmm.. i downloaded firefox 3.0 a while ago, but now it (or some virus.. lol) gives trouble. I can't go to several websites (www.google.nl, www.tribalwars.nl), my browser just can't connect with them. I'm 100% sure the sites aren't down, and i made no spelling error, since they work fine on ALL other computers.. except for mine. Also internet explorer makes no difference.. any help? :) KrispyKicks 06-13-2008, 10:44 AM DL a program that removes spyware? i think its called...spybot? Yeah, it pretty much puts it in the pooper of all major viruses and should have you running good in no time. Glad i could help. swordman540 06-13-2008, 10:52 AM If you are sure its a virus, I always recommend Ad Aware 2008. You can find it at www.lavasoft.com If not, try rolling back to Firefox 2. whatever and check if that works. If not, try IE. If not, then its the internets problem. It if DOES work, try re-installing 3.0 and check to see if it works again. Tell me your progress, i'll be more than happy to help! imdesigner 06-15-2008, 09:19 AM if you think its a virus then get avg http://free.grisoft.com/ its a very good program, the free one does wonders - highly recommend it. J-Ros 06-15-2008, 09:41 AM I allready have AVG, the scan gave no results of threads/virusses. I also downloaded AdAware.. which gave 140 threads. I healed them all, but still nothing works again.. yet my computer is going amazingly slow.. elmo 06-15-2008, 02:35 PM i think its ff... my ff has been acting up lately also.
