I was confused at first, because it sounded like you were leaving behind what seems to be definition in your character. But it wrapped it all up in the end.

But I liked it. The metaphor works.

I'm definitley feeling this, and like Tyler Self said the metaphor totally works bruh.
It doesnt thouroughly rhyme which I actually find really interesting in this case as it doesnt conflict with the flow.
