I'm practicing tre flips and was wondering how you know if your popping or scooping tres. And if your popping them how do you fix the problem???

Well you know if your popping or scooping, well if you pop or scoop. If you pop your probably going to hear the pop and you'll probably go higher. If your scooping, your most likely not gunna go very high with the board, and maybe hear a scratching sound.

Yea, If you pop your going to hear the tail hit the ground. If you scoop, your probably going to hear a scraping sound.

scoop with your foot in the pocket of the tail and you should hear a scraping noise, but i some times do them more with a pop and still can land

OK, but if your popping how do you teach yourself to scoop???

if ur popping then try this:
when you have ur back foot in the pocket of the tail, to scoop it instead of popping it, you have to kind of drag your back foot back and it should come around behind your front foot.

haha i cant really explain it like this but just look at some videos of the trick and see if you notice what im trying to say.
