mc studda 06-17-2008, 07:18 PM well make sure you dont spend bills and then quit.
rocksolid k0 06-17-2008, 07:25 PM well your right but i dont think ill quit.....but is it a good set-up?
Naive 06-17-2008, 07:59 PM sure it's good
for starting you dont need a really good setup anyway
why dont you try it and see what its like for yourself?
heyyathen 06-17-2008, 08:34 PM That seems like it's overpriced. Got o Zumiez or your local skate shop instead.
rocksolid k0 06-17-2008, 10:03 PM ok ill try some other places for better prices...I wanted it a little closer to $100
iskateniketres 06-17-2008, 10:09 PM you should get a blank board for your first, considering you wont break it as fast.
ceazeone 06-18-2008, 12:46 AM That definetly seems pricy since I got a setup that was just as good at ccs.com for $109 shipped. Might want to go there or your local skate shop. You don't need a expensive setup when your just starting out to skate, trust me I did the same when I started.
MadaxoR 06-18-2008, 02:04 AM Yeah that's alright. Thunders are a good choice
nervous 06-18-2008, 02:11 AM just get a blank because your not going to need a pro board or super strong one with amazing pop for your first and the rest of the setup is fine better then mine right now.
rocksolid k0 06-18-2008, 10:11 AM a blank? where do i get those?
xXSkater14Xx 06-18-2008, 10:22 AM a blank? where do i get those?
Almost every shop should have them. Just ask them what blanks they have. My first complete cost like $132 ,i got a blank deck, my parents paid for $100 since it was my birthday. If it's a local shop and it's around $110-130 i say it is fine, Since your supporting your local shop.
Sk8_Alchemist 06-18-2008, 01:21 PM its OK. you dont need to pay so much for the "lights" Thunders
you can get some standard lo Thunders
cowowine 06-18-2008, 04:45 PM a blank? where do i get those?
Local skate shop or try www.blankdecks.com.
sk858619 06-18-2008, 09:41 PM glad you got thunders(:
yeah i like the setup but you dont need to spend that much.
get a shop deck they're just as good in my opinion.
Skateaway3 06-18-2008, 09:51 PM if you really want to spend that much that is a great setup. But if i were you i would just buy a blank board, thunder lo's, blank wheels, and bones reds.
rocksolid k0 06-19-2008, 05:37 PM I built almost the same board at ccs.com and its way cheaper. I think ill go with this, I thought about geting a blank deck but I realy dont wanna go geting another proper deck after I wear it out, so ill just get this I think

Geissler 06-19-2008, 07:00 PM Yep! Get a blank. 100 dollars for a deck when you can't even ollie is ridiculous, and I would argue that it's ridiculous even when you're good considering that I've seen kids ripping it up on shop decks. Seriously, pro decks are totally unnecessary.
cheapBoarder 06-19-2008, 07:09 PM Seriously, pro decks are totally unnecessary.
Not really, If you want to support your favorite company or skater then why not buy a pro deck? or If a company makes a shape you really like, who not buy again?
rocksolid k0 06-19-2008, 07:42 PM dude its not $100 for the deck, its 100 for the complete, although I chose some upgrade parts, so it was $114.
joe1206 07-16-2008, 03:42 PM thats a nice set up,
