Today I received my two eastbilt harward's that I ordered last Thursday. When I got home from buying grip tape and a drill bit, I was excited to find them waiting for me in my garage. I rushed down stairs to skid (with Small School's new skids) and grip them both, then set one up with bullets and OJII's.

When I opened the box I was a little bit surprised at the shape...

It's VERY VERY similar to the Decomposed Butterfield Grenade. At a glance I really wouldn't see a difference. They both taper the same way, have the same basic shape (most noticeably the oddly shaped tail), and the noses are similar. EDIT: The Butterfield is on top.

While the Butterfield's nose looks a little bit steeper to me, and the harward has a long tail I think it's pretty hard to call the eastbilt harward a single kick deck. I honestly expected the nose to be slightly up turned, as in it's flat until there’s a very short part turned up, but I think you could say it's a double kick.

It is my fault for not looking into it more, and not asking eastbilt for more pictures to better see the shape, but I'm really disappointed at my purchase choice. This shape just isn't my cup of tea.

I'm going to skate them b/c I paid for two decks+shipping, went to the trouble of buying a drill bit, drill chuck, and skidding them, and I don't want to completely waste money I'm working to make. However, I'm finding myself hoping that I break one early so I can justify buying a custom single kick/flat from Jeremy. I miss my Morris decomposed single kick so much that even though it's VERY beat up, I'm already thinking about setting it up again.

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A KNCOCK AT EASTBILT'S QUALITY. I've ridden the deck for one day; I just already hate the shape. I still have to let myself adjust before I decide whether or not I like them, but I didn't really like the Grenade so, I'm probably not going to like these.

So my suspicions are confirmed! Always thought the Butterfield looked similar just never had one to compare with. Sucks that you hate the shape though. I wouldn't classify the Harward as a double kick, the nose just doesn't feel like that of a normal double kick so I leave it at concaved single. The pink stain on the deck that isn't set up look pretty cool though.

They look exactly alike to me, and I'd say if the butterfield is a double kick, this is too. Although, it is a very shallow nose.

becouse if their similar and you didnt like the butterfield i can see why
but if they are similar i might like them.. considering the butterfield is my favorite deck shape minus the renna smallschool/outlook im riding now

Because of the variety of freestyle decks out there, and humans normally only growing so much, you will naturally have decks that look alike.

That really bites. Maybe you can find someone who would buy it from you?

Would anyone like to buy them and try them out themselves? PM me if so.
