well first of all its graphics are way better.
you can go online on it and download games from playstation site

I have both as well and I would go with PS3 in my sleep any day of the week.

I forgot to add the PS3 can play more video formats (WMV, Xvid, AVI, MPEG, along with MP4)
Wi-fi (while the 360 needs a plug PS3 connectes wirelessly)
No need to buy batteries (recharable one built in the Sixaxis/Dualshock 3)
Better games (as of 08 leading into 09)
100% BC (on the 20GB, 60GB, and 80GB)
Upgradeable hard drive (takes like a min to change them out, right now I have 500GB which I could turn into a TB)
Plays Bluray and dvds out the box
Lower fail rate

Don't forget Rockstar has stated that if xbox doesn't get a higher storage disc then GTA 5 will only be on PS3 cause 4 filled up the full hd-dvd so thats a big plus
Next PS3 update we get in game menu access and trophies sorta like the 360 achivments.

They're both good, equally as good I would say. If I _had_ to pick I'd go with the 360 for the simple fact that it has more games, more players on XBlive, and is extremely customizable, especially if you can mod. The graphics on both are nearly identical and anyone who says there are _big_ differences need to see an optometrist.

Also, the Blu-ray discs are highly overrated. Everyone keeps saying "Just wait, just wait until the games use up all the space in blu-ray and how amazing it'll be! Just wait!" - Well, how long do we have to wait? The system was released two years ago and we're still being told to wait at the amazing capabilities it'll show?

That's like having keys to a BMW without the BMW itself....

Ever play a PS3 on a 1080p tv? MGS 4 blows any 360 game out of the water alone on it, even Motorstorm does too. There is never going to be game in our life that can use up a full bluray disc, it has 200 GB of space in all (dual), maybe even more then that! But have you seen screenshots and videos of Final Fantasy 13 and Wardevil? Theres a huge question on how 360 fanboys are saying its all CGI, they just added a hud to try to pass it off as gameplay, which is all lies it is gameplay footage.

I have a SDtv and when I had Lair (before beating it and trading it in) it looked good enough to ****!

I turn 16 in November, so as soon as I get a job then I plan on getting a PS3. I don't want a peice of **** console that will most likely get RRoD on me.

The thing I hated most about my ps3 was actually the r1 and r2 buttons on the controller.

Seriously, when I'm playing a shooter, I want to FEEL like I'm pulling a trigger..
They didn't even attempt to redesign the sixaxis controller. It was like "Oh its good enough" move.

My background is filled with all Playstation consoles and as of now I am still playing a PS2. (although I haven't played it for probably a few months. I find it boring as hell) But anyway, I have played both the 360 and the ps3 while at friends house's and I would take the 360 anyday. It is so much better in my opinion and here soon I will be getting one. Can't wait to play online with it that will be sick.

I love my PS3 but you're silly to say a console system is better than PC in any way. PC had 360 and PS3 obsolete within barely a week of their release. If you think otherwise you really need to take the time to learn how to upgrade your PC or find someone who can.

And then spend a ton of money each year to upgrade it with the lastest things to play 1 game! Really its an arm and a leg to play Crisis on PC, its not worth it to me.

First time ever for me to disagree with one of the 5 members i respect the most on this site but, shush your wrong.

Playstation came out a year ago.

Graphically, it is fact that the Xbox cant produce the same systematic displays as the playstation being that the games CANT and the console DOSEN'T support a full 1080p.

The system can only support 1080i, given is good but being a interlaced scan on the screen means the screen clashes with itself so that when the pixels producing the picture run over the top of each other (interlaced 1080i means its scanned horizontilly as well as vertically) the picture can experiance frame rate drops, game freezes, etc...
Now, the xbox can process a full 1080p, but cant visually process anything higher then 1080i, meaning that the screen, due to the death of 1080i, isn't capable of full high-definition. Which is ****ing stupid seeing as though its "supposed" to be a next generation high definition console...if they were that quick to release a next gen console that cant fully support next generation hardware its there own fault.


Nowwwwwwww, to the main point. Disks, like you were talking about BluRay. When Xbox was originally released it ran it's games and supported HD-DVD. Im sure you know that HD-DVD is dead now and was beaten out by BluRay and wont be making a return. This inturn entails that the Xbox has had to always resort back to dual-layer DVD disks, even since release, which aren't capable of holding high definition information. And that means that you aren't playing a high definition game, which means you aren't taking a high definition console away from the shop which means you paid 300 quid just to take home a sleaker looking regular Xbox.

BluRay will see the day when it can be fully stored. Why your bothered about how quick they fill it fully i dont know, it's like you said but diferant:

In turn, the PS3 can support full high definiton, 1080p, the disks can and already do since relase support full 720p and 1080p, and the 100Hz processing the picture inside can definatly leave it stress free and so the console can run that picture smoothly without chances of frame rate drops, and flickering.



I really dont like disagreeing with people that i like or relate to. But there is differances, and the Playstation IS the better console.

It's fact, but the majority are now xbox fanboys because it's been out a year longer. There's obviously going to be more users on xbox live, they had a year to sign up before the PS3, More games is obvious again, they had a year start.

I dunno, they will always be xbox fanboys who are so driven to thinking it's the best just because it's what they decided to buy...in peoples minds lime that, whatever they buy will always be best to them, but we all know that spec wise, the playstation ****s all over the Xbox...which does make it the best.

I played live on my brother in law's 360 not that different then the PSN to be honest.

Yeah it looks better on my friend's HDTV and on my SDTV. Gameplay is just like the footage you seen at E3 and in trailers. But it looks better on a HDTV far better then Gears.
