Lime and orange essence has a alcohol content of 85%, randomly fell open it to today being extremly bored with one of my bro's. Turns out it actually gets you drunk and being 85c a bottle its amazing. Who would've thought!

Eww absynthe, it tastes like licorish (well anaseed), which i hate unfortunately. i've drunk absynthe and it definately does not have any phycadellic effects, just mass drunkeness:p I don't know where the whole absynthe being a halluconogen came from...

you guys do realize that 85% alcohol content would be 170 proof right? everclear's what? 100 proof? so i'm guessing 170 proof would be way closer to drinking gasoline than everclear....

I've heard of some everclear that is around 95% alcohol.

i drink beer, all that hard alcohol brings out the bad side in me. so i steer clear of that.

85%.. if you mix it, you'll be fine. Thing is, not sure how safe this lemon essence crap is to drink. Are you sure it's not some refined lemon floor cleaner or something? How do they get alcohol from lemons, fermenting them..?

I've had 85% absinthe in shot form which was not a very pleasant experience. Absinthe when prepared properly, on the other hand, is a very pleasant drink indeed. Follow these 5 rules and you'll be fine:

1. Don't buy the czech stuff, or anything lacking the final "e" of "absinthe" for that matter
2. Don't set it on fire
3. Don't try to brew your own.
4. Don't drink it in a shot - add 6 parts cold cold water and enjoy the louche
5. Don't expect to get high, see visions or write surrealist poetry.

Everclear is 190 proof and 95% alcohol.
