HOPEFULLY they dont consider impossibles, lateflips, gazelles, pivot tricks "circus tricks"
or "freestyle"

which neither are allowed....

They definitly allow all the tricks you listed though.

I'm just gonna try going to my local park and freestyle and mix it with a bit of street :)
Or i'll beg 2 friends i rarely skate with, to go skate our 'spot' that would rock...just like old times :)

When they came to Wake Forest, they handicapped the freestylers by saying we couldn't do 'circus tricks' which included but are not limited to: pressure flips, late flips, impossibles beyond a normal one (no fakie, 540, etc), gazelles, m80s, underflips, etc.

Thats ridiculous. No late flips?? No 540 impossibles wtf??? If your going to say no pressure flips, you might as well say "you can do kickflips, varials, tre's, heelflips and cabs in any stance, BUT THATS IT!"

I understand the logic of not wanting someone winning by learning a bunch of obscure tricks that aren't difficult after a few tries but that's annoying.

My thoughts exactly. What makes a 540 impossible so different then a tre flip? Simply because its much cooler and not as popular they ban it? If you can land their tricks, but they can't land yours, doesn't that mean your better?

As long as it doesn't rain here, I'm going up to my local skatepark for an event/contest they are having there. Product tosses all day, demos, and a contest. I'm actually planning to enter the contest just for the heck of it. I'm sure I'll probaby suck and not place but I figure it's good practice and a way to "show off" freestyle. :)

Hey! You leave our pavements alone if you want to stay in our country!

Well I mean, the pavement's not bad...necessarily. But it's all hodgepodge - I can't find a stretch longer than a meter that's the same, and when I do, it's really rough, or sloped (or both - that seems to be the case in most places I've tried).

There were some nice spots in London along the Thames though. I'll have to bring my board there sometime.

Of course, it rained today. Haven't had a chance to get on a board yet.

I thought you hated the pavement too... Or maybe I just made that up. Sometimes I like to make up my own facts, that way I know that they're true.

well this go skateboarding day really sucked since none of my friends could skate and my board was being a real pain in the ass when i was changing the trucks.

Nice. Anyone able to get those gazelles?

Also, at least you guys had a board for Go skate day! My go skate day will be either tuesday or wednesday. Whenever my new deck gets here.

That I do, but it's ok for me to hate them because I was born here.
