Has anyone ever skated this? I'm really thinking about getting one, they're so sexy.

I don't know about that board specifically, but I know there are many brands that make that type of deck. You might want to look into humu's... they're around 28 inches long, v-lam...especially the custom made ones. For a surf style board, you want to check something with a certain amount of flex (some brands have amount of flex determined per weight)...loaded, earthwing, gravity all make surf style longboards.

silverfishlongboarding.com has a bunch of people with good information and some people that even sell custom boards to your specifications. You might aswell learn about how to make your own deck. You can ask me here too of course =).

Naw, but a bunch of guys I know over another forum have. I still have to start on my first build, which will hopefully be somewhere in the summer vacation =). IF you just do some investigation, look at peoples building diaries, you've got all you need to start =).

Cheers!

hey oli! i would really enjoy having this board, not gonna lie. it would be a proper fusion of my two loves. if not, maybe next time i paddle out i should bring a skateboard with me, haha. i've been working quite a bit this summer so i haven't had a whole lot of myspace time, things will start slowing down soon hopefully.

Well.....I think it's a great board, but I've heard you don't use grip tape on 'em.....you wax 'em and skate barefoot:

Another option is to go for clear griptape (sort of see through). I don't think the board would look as good with normal black ontop.

waxing? Wow... I never knew about that. I'll try that out =)

^^i would totally wax it, but the wax would get way too dirty, way to fast, and gravel/rocks from my feet would stick to the wax and ding up the fiberglass. in a perfect/ controlled environment though that would be amazing.

Those OP boards are not meant for anyone over 170 possibly. They are kookalicious.

Capt. the spec. says it has clear grip, no need for wax, unless you really want that surf feel. Sounds like a cool board. Surf/Skate on!!!
