Yeah i was hangin with my friends today skating all day but then we go over one of ems girlfriends house and jst chill there. my parents know those kids smoke and my mom knows i wont. my friends respect that too and dont ask me to. but my dad, wow hes a ****in *******. i just got my yearbook for school and one of the kids signs his thing like pothead and draws some marujuana. my dad flips and thinks ima smoke and because my other friend writes "****muffin" that im some delinquent. now im a straight A student and i get awards for SAT scores and **** and im not gonna give that up, yet my dad still thinks im going to smoke because its "the in thing now". any way i can convince that im not? because im not allowed to hang with any of my friends because he thinks everyone in this town is a bad influence

Marijuana doesn't make you act like a so called "tool". Most of the movies where you see people smoking weed, overreact about the effects of it. Whenever I smoke, I usually just go to sleep, listen to music, or watch tv.

Theres no way to convince him its just the way it is. But really smoking weed as always been the it thing, people just do it more openly now. I bet your dad smoked his share of it in his younger days.

you can ask him to sniff your mouth every time you come home. My parents told me about all the side affects of smoking a long time ago, and they were like yea, if you want to know, you can try, but just be concious of what it can do to you. I don't think I'll ever smoke in my life. IF you tell them that, they'll get tears in their eyes.

I'm sure if you saw someone who was going out every few weeks and getting pissed you wouldn't have a negative attitude towards it, so what's wrong with someone who smokes a cone just as occasionly. Marijuana is less harmful that alcohol aswell. Illiegal drugs can have so many positive uses aswell it's just all about how they are used.

Totally agree with you Long Jetty. Used with safety and moderation in mind Marijuana can be a relatively safe substance. I'm sick of all these kids who have never even seen Marijuana in their lives preaching about the dangers of smoking. At least base your opinion on something other than the persuasion of your parents.
