Just wondering what you guys would think about someone who was really searching for truth and came to the conclusion that "such and such" must be correct because it makes so much sense to them.
Wouldnt that be using the faulty logic of man?
Since we are so imperfect how can we be expected to find truth and how can we follow a higher intelligence when it is our own faulty logic which decides who the higher intelligence is?
In other words, can i find truth and how will i identify it when i see it and do i need the right heart condition to receive truth when i've had no guidance to teach me the right heart condition since i do not yet have truth to guide me?

hope that made sense.

(Rom 10:13-17 NASB) for "WHOEVER WILL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED." {14} How then shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? {15} And how shall they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GLAD TIDINGS OF GOOD THINGS!" {16} However, they did not all heed the glad tidings; for Isaiah says, "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?" {17} So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

(Eph 2:4-10 NASB) But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, {5} even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), {6} and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, {7} in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. {8} For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; {9} not as a result of works, that no one should boast. {10} For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

If your human logic was so faulty that it couldn't discover truth then how would you be able to know that human logic is faulty? The statement by a human that human logic is faulty must mean that the statement in itself is faulty as well. lol

Logic: "a particular mode of reasoning viewed as valid or faulty"

You think man has been nothing but illogical his whole existence? We certainly "reasoned" our way in landing on the moon and returning. Our own logic leads us leads us to admitting that a certain action is illogical....what could be more logical than that?

^ i think man has to make 100's of mistake before he does the right thing. If man is imperfect then his logic will be faulty. how do i know when it's correct and when it isnt. By my own faulty logic.
So when a doctor prescribes medicine, you are hoping that on this occasion his logic is correct. And how do you judge what % of his recommendation will be correct. with your own faulty logic.
In a world of faulty logic, majority rules.

We learn from trial and error. Well I like to think we do at least. ;)

You just described the process of defining something as logical. We don't assume anything is logical untill we have some evidence that it abides by our own definition of it. Trial and error couldn't be anymore logical. The word "logical" doesn't have any religious connotations but you're making it so. how do i know when it's correct and when it isnt. By my own faulty logic.

The doctors Logic comes as a result from his/her expertise in medicine. Medicine, like science, has endured the process of trial and error for centuries. There are guidelines that must be met when a doctor prescribes you medicine, these guidelines are a result of trial and error.

We are logical beings, and our "faulty" logic has made people healthier than ever. That was our motivation in the first place! You telling me, through our logic, we haven't achieved many of our goals and objectives? Of course we have.

We have achieved many goals through our logic. Faulty logic doesn't lead you towards your goals!
