alright so i got my ollies, kickflips, heelflips, varials, and all of those in fakies all perfect. so now im trying tre flips... and i CANNOT get them. i never have enough scoop and i dont know where to put my foot. i looked up some tre tutorials and everyone does it differently. like wade desarmos are completely different from paul rodriguez's

how do YOU get the most scoop for tres?

Put the ball of your foot (back foot) on the edge of the toe side of the board and just scoop it.

k, ill try to explain this to the best of my abailty,
so get your back foot, put the ball of your foot like right in the area on the board where it goes from flat to tail, and where that little dip in the board is. but the ball of your foot right in that little dip, and put your toes over the board and pretend your going to curl them over the edge of the board.
-so thats what the back foot is like. at least when i do them.

and for the front foot, the front foot isnt quite as precise and important for tres, but i usually put it like a little more than half way up the board towards the nose, and have your toes facing slightly in the direction of the nose. and have your heel hanging off the edge.

so now when you have your feel like that and your rolling along, push down on your back foot and do a pop-shuv motion, but yeah pretend to curl your toes over the edge of the board to help you get the extra scoop. and as you scoop it slide your front foot straight up to get the flick. dont do a kickflip flick. just like an ollie but flick your foot a little.

now the board should be spinning underneath you, but theyre tricky to land because when you scoop and flick your feet get in a funny positon, so you gotta quick get your feet back over the board centered, (sometimes you might have to jump kinda forward to land back on the board cause when you flick it hard the board goes off in different directions)and then catch it, roll away, smile, and say 'eff yeah'

i hope that helped, im not great at explaining things, but i described it the way that i usually do them.

Back foot behing the pocket, front foot in kickflip position. Make sure you pop down, and scoop hard.
If you just scoop they'll flatspin along the floor, and you'll never get them high.

ok, here's a guide i gave someone else, i got repped a couple times because of it, so i think it must've been alright. hope it helps

well, i wouldn't say that. i couldn't fakie 3 shuv when i learned fakie bigflips OR fakie tre's. BUT if you're going to do it fakie, fakie varial may be of use so that you know how to ride fakie, scoop, flick, and land. now just add scoop, but i won't leave you there.

first off, if you're going to youtube to surf the web for trick tips, you probably shouldn't. really, you can become your own teacher, and learn MUCH MUCH more. if you're going to watch a tre trick tip, i promise you, all you're gonna get is "roll at a good speed, front foot 45 degrees, back foot toes hanging over. pop, scoop, flick, stay over, land. you won't learn anything else. just where to put your feet, and its better to learn that yourself, so you're comfortable. you can figure out how to do it (scoop/flick).

sooo first off, i'll teach ya how to do it w/ troubleshooting and whatnot, so that you can actually learn, or at least i hope so.

Foot Position---

front foot, you need to figure out where you need to put it in order to actually get the flick, it's not the same for all people. some put it like a kickflip, but i never get the full flip when i do it like that; so i just put it in the middle (i get made fun of, but i can do it haha, and better than those that make fun of me). Back foot should be on the very back of the tail, with your toes hanging off as i mentioned, and you should curl them to help get the scoop.

here's where you can learn something, rather than just learning the foot position

Executing It---

Make sure your feet are in the correct position, and you're ready!
pop the board but scoop it like its mint chocolate chip, i think something helpful is "try to kick yourself in the azz almost with your scoop." pay attention there. go back and read it again. do it.

now that you read it again, you did, didn't you? good. you're now ready to flick. wait till about 45-90 degrees, and give your board a bit of flick ( not as much as a kickflip, idk why but you dont have to flick it as much).

jump up and forward a bit, like a shuv-it. this is crucial, it's impossible to land it if you don't jump forward, so don't bother just trying to flip it to "get used to the feel." it's a waste of time. just jump.

when you're landing, don't be discouraged, you won't get a perfect landing the first time. just keep going, keep trying dude.

i hope i helped you, let me know if i did help, my goal was that exactly ^^

(p.s. i didn't mean to be blunt at all in it, so i hope i didn't seem mean lol)

good luck!!

(holy crack this took like 15 minutes haha)

EDIT: NO, IT TOOK 18+ BECAUSE I STARTED RIGHT after ZOMBIE's post hahahaaaaaaaaaa gosh i hope i helped xD

i forget what was the golden tip for me..you know how there's always the one stupid problem that no one seems to be able to fix..then there's this magic solution..i forget.. i think just butt loads of practice and you'll get it soon, you just gotta scoop it hard.

how bout you film us an attempt, then we can try to troubleshoot it more?
