What are friends?

Friends are people who are somebody, not just anybody. Friends are who you come to in need, and not who you come to in greed. Friends are who you get things from, not take things from. Friends are why you survive, not how. Friends are the people who read for you, not to you. Friends are not “why” but “when.” Friends are those who laugh with you, not at you. Friends are the people who need you, not want you. Friends are the grip tape on your deck. That’s what friends are.

What do friends look like?

Friends can be that “Stephen Hawking” kind of person where on the outside, they look like a retard who never gets out of their chair and depends on a keyboard, but when you get to know them, they’re really much, much, more. Friends look like what to you is a diamond and to others is dirt. Friends look like a brand new deck compared to a snapped Wal Mart deck. That’s what friends look like.

Why do you have friends?

You have friends because life is the bridge between obscurity and sociality. You have friends because they’re the tires on your truck. You have friends because they’re the straw in your soft drink. You have friends because they’re the hybrid in the world of high gas prices. You have friends because they’re the AC in your home in Brazil. That’s why you have friends.
