I got my board yesterday. I've never before tried to put a skateboard together, so this will probably be an easy question for you to answer. ;)

I've just found out that the distances between the back-trucks and the tail, and the front-trucks and the nose are different. Like this:

I didn't realize that yesterday..

Is it normal/regular that the nose is shorter? Is it harder to skate with it? Should I change this?
When I skate, I am conscious about having the "nose" first.

Just a newb question.. Appreciate answers. :)

Yeah its totally normal.

Take this chart, for example, from Mini Logo:

http://minilogoskateboards.com/products/decks_ml_shapes.html

You'll see that MOST boards on there have longer noses than tails. Also, the angle of the tail is usually less steep than the nose.

When I started skating on a street board, I thought that it was totally symmetrical. But most boards at totally NOT symmetrical, and do have a true Front (Nose) and Rear (Tail). That's why now, I totally have to mark my 2 front bolts.

Dude.. I'm not used to those kind of (slang)words.. I'm Norwegian! :p
But I'll try them out one day, and see if they fit into my vocabulary.

Anyways.. Thanks!

oh just a tip. your deck isnt exactly the best one out there. elements usually make bad decks.

Don't bring back old threads if the question has already been answered

Personal preference, some people happen to like elements(myself not included). Also it's his/her first deck, so I doubt it'll make much of a difference.
