Normally i don't feel like doing it so i let them. But it's good to know how.

i usually do it myself because i like gripping and re-adjusting the board / doing all the pit crew stuff...
but sometimes i just want to skate so i bring my board and have them grip my new board and remove my trucks and stick them on the board...

i do it myself, but it seems like no one thats younger does it anymore, at my shop i swear only one person has said theyd grip there own board in the last 6 months at least. kids wont even tighten/loosen there own trucks or tighten there hardware or anything. just another part of civilization getting lazier as services are increasing i guess. it doesnt bother me too much to put boards together and grip decks though cause i like doing that stuff. i jsut dont know why people would want someone else working on their own board. my motto is, you never mess with another "man's" board. ya just dont.

I prefer gripping my own deck, it gives me the oppurtunity to cut something into it.
On account of me being broke all the time, I buy blanks and they can't come gripped.
So I grip it myself.
I've had bad experiences with other people gripping them, anyways.

I put it on myself.
But the next time I'll try letting the people in the store do it (oo, so excited!!)

I grip my board myself since cutting people is apparently illegal.

HAHA this thread reminded me of the first time I EVER put on grip. Guess what. I used scissors. It was really funny.... well not really but looking back I feel so stupid. It had a bunch of air bubbles and the sides were all messed up... Wow, funny.
Oh, and I get my shop to do it because I get scared of messing up.

I second that.
I just got some new grip yesterday and i also bought a strip of orange grip so I have a line of electric orange and the rest black, it looks sick.

I have no choice but to. There are scarcely any skate shops where I live I only know 1 and it like an hours drive so I just do it myself. It's sorta fun. Sorta.
