Since my local park is closing...im thinking about opening my own skate/bmx shop and have an attached skatepark.


what do u guys think? I know i have the funding (my dad owns 2 other businesses and makes a ****-tom of $$$). He actually offered to fund me to open a paintball field, but no where around here for lease wanted a paintball field on their property, so it didnt work out...


I told him about the park closing last night, and his first words to me were "is this something you could open up and make a business out of?"

zoning - if the zoning aint right, it can cost you alot of money

You gotta make sure that you don't become reliant on your dads money because if you are for more then say 3 months after opening, the business isn't successful. You need to obviously make cashflow charts and all that jazz to make sure you can make it a success before you start the business.

i think you'll find, if you fly down you'll hit antarctica.

if it loks like a good park, ill deff come up there to skate. im from sc, so its a bit of a drive, but if its free ill be there lol.
