sorry if its been posted but this is really really cheap. i wounder if they're any good? anyone tried then? i'm thinking about getting it. by the way what is medium import and steep import? like medium concave and steep concave?
cha-BANG 06-27-2008, 09:19 PM hmm yeah i was wondering about these too..my friend got like 10 boards for 102 dollars (cuz of shipping) on ebay, and he says they skate just fine, he's pretty small, but he's alright. he just says a board's a board, and i'd love to believe that, but theres something that tells me that the blanks will just die out (pop-wise) or something like that..i'm really not sure

Most of the time blanks are made from the same company that make graphic boards.
blankskate22 06-27-2008, 09:27 PM Blankdecks.com is a good and trusted site.
In my opinion Poplites are better and cheaper.
zeroordie13452 06-27-2008, 09:39 PM mooseblanks.com is good 2
kflip2curbstomp 06-27-2008, 09:41 PM my current set up is one. its pretty good i like it. my friend bought that and he sells decks to kids for 30 buck

do you get the ones with grip or not? because it is only $10 more for griptape with it but is the griptape worth $2? or should i just buy in bulk of jessup for $3.
cha-BANG 06-27-2008, 09:42 PM but the thing is, (to casper10) i'm not sure like..what kinda blank they use..if only i could find the ones chocolate uses.. just not with a picture, big whooppp. you can always just paint it or sticker it, if you really care that much for a picture thats gonna go away real fast anyways.

Chocolate uses Crailtap. I dont think crailtaps factories makes blanks.
RIP_BOB_GNARLY 06-27-2008, 10:02 PM mooseblanks.com is good 2
That website doesn't exist, but I am geussing you are talking about the moose blanks you can get from ebay.
jalapi01 06-27-2008, 10:08 PM your probabaly talking about
http://mooseskateboards.com/
they make high quality blank decks.
currently skating one
:)
lemons7 06-27-2008, 10:16 PM Nah, Moose is pretty cheap. Same with poplites. They snap on me just olling a little 8. blankdecks.com is pretty good, but the fact that they went with crap Asian production for the 10 for 10 is bogus. Go with the canadian blanks or cali blanks, that 40 bucks is so worth it. I've done the 10 canadian blanks at least 2 times, and they were pretty good decks. But I wasn't a great skater back then.
cha-BANG 06-27-2008, 10:20 PM w-w-wait so the 10 blanks for the canadian is 400 dollars? wow.
moose, isn't that some weird shaped board or somethign? like the tail is like a fishy or some weird thing..
blankdecks.com must be good, just blanks.
crailtap, gah i wish i could just get blanks, or cheap chocolates like 30 or under
lemons7 06-27-2008, 10:21 PM w-w-wait so the 10 blanks for the canadian is 400 dollars? wow.
What, no. It's like, 140. Ish.
erase_the_doubt 06-27-2008, 10:21 PM Yeah, the 10 for $10 deal boards suck, they break real easy, and the griptape is horrible. The grip is barely sticky and peels off you board, plus just from skating it your shoes rips the grip off of it. All in all, don't get the deal.
Canadian maple blanks are alright but still have some of the same troubles, but the best blank company i would recommend is Mini-logo's, they may be a little more, but they skate a whole lot better.
As for me though, i will never buy another blank company again, way too many bad experiences.

Hmm, that's what i'm trying to decide between now. eaither pop-lites or canadian blanks at blankdecks.

anyone know how good they are? im getting about $100 soon and i was going to get 2 decks but this seems better
RIP_BOB_GNARLY 06-27-2008, 10:32 PM I want to try out a mini logo. I have heard so many good things about them. I think I might get one after my Zero breaks.
erase_the_doubt 06-27-2008, 10:33 PM Canadian blanks.
Agreed. ;)
POUNSTER 06-28-2008, 02:47 AM cheap is the word you are looking for my friend
Rohanjamtart 06-28-2008, 08:58 AM yeah dude blanks . not such a good idea. they could have been made by rollerbladers for gods sake
Waxxed 06-28-2008, 02:53 PM yeah dude blanks . not such a good idea. they could have been made by rollerbladers for gods sake
umm what? blanks are most the time half the price of pro boards or more cheap and are just as good.
cha-BANG 06-28-2008, 03:50 PM so i'm getting the sense that the overall agreement is canadian blanks? i just want something thats not crappy.
maybe pop-lites

Umm, yeah definitely not pop-lites, if you are gonna get blanks, get Canadians.

I have ordered those twice now. They are good boards. They don't just die out or anything they are just as good as any pro deck I have skated.
Lifeseeker 06-28-2008, 09:40 PM Anything from China is crap. Get only USA or Canadian.
cheapBoarder 06-28-2008, 09:44 PM ^^^
What boards you recommend?
cha-BANG 06-28-2008, 09:47 PM so i guess i'm lookin at just canadian blanks then, eh?
best ones i guess?
Lifeseeker 06-28-2008, 09:51 PM You folks need to be going to skate shops that are run by skaters and sponsor teams. Folks who shop on Ebay are not guarantee a skateboard shop or any one that knows about skateboards.
You purchase a blank on line from some shop, you don't actually know where that board is coming from.
Mall stores avoid like the plague. They are spending big bucks for rent, so you are paying for that.
Sorry for the ramble
