joe maloof was interviewed on espn today about the event and this is what he said "i dont know anything about skateboarding..." and he went on to make some funny hand gestures to represent street skating and vert skating. they are purely businessmen, this event is all about the money. they have no interest in promoting skateboarding as a sport.

Vanessa is going to be in this! Oh man! She skates my local park alot, last time I saw her I chat with her for about 5 minutes about certain areas of street sections she liked of the park. She even commented on my freestyle when I was trying an ollie nh5050 on the volcano bank.

It actually says in there that he is still going to compete. He refused a cast and surgery until after the competition. So as of now he is officially still going to be in this competition.

its great that he still wants to compete and all i but i hope the only thing behind his determination is the love of skateboarding. not the 100,000 dollar prize. ok yes. i would enter a comp because money was involved. but what im saying is i hope he isnt sitting in his giant house going, 'oh god i want that money a broken arm will never stop the sheckler'. or something. if thats the case he needs to swallow his pride and fame.

I do think he will still do great in the comp... hopefully. he is an excellent comp skater., so im glad he is competing.

On Skateboard.com people are complaining about the sound. I am watching the AM warmup live right now so I'll post how I figured out how to get the volume working and not have to have the site open all the time.

1). Get VLC Media Player.
2). Open VLC Media Player.
3). From VLC media player go File > Open Network Stream > advanced Options > Costumize > and paste in this code to the costumize field:

It should look something like this:

After it looks like that, hit the okay button. Maloof should be playing now, however sound is probably really hard to here even at max.

Now to get the sound to a volume that you can here whats going on. Go Audio > Equalizer and pick the equalizer you want, I picked party but you can choose whatever helps you here best. Here's the diagram if you get lost:

I got my money on Koston. If he Koston really tried, he could really win every single contest he was in but he just does them for fun and the environment. But with 100k up for grabs, there is no doubt in my mind that he will be the man to beat.

People who are gonna be in the finals: Chris Cole, Paul Rodriguez, Jereme Rogers, Adam Dyet, Billy Marks, Ryan Sheckler. Yeah you might not like the dude, but Sheckler is no doubt one of the best in skateboarding today and you have to give him respect for that.

IRideGirls, you seriously need to hop off Mike Mo's ****. Every single topic you post in, you have to post his name in one way, shape, or form. Just stop because it's annoying, creepy, and obsessive. And this is not Mike Mo's sort of contest environment. Lord of the Lines is better suited for him.
