ok so i have problems sometimes doing kickflips and stuff like that when i'm cruising on a sidewalk or somwhere where my board can get snapped. cuz once, i did a tre flip, and it slipped out and a car snapped my board in half, and i dont want that happening again. does it just take practice to learn how to get really good board control, and learn how to do you tricks faster? i can do like..shuv its, 180 both ways, fakie bigspin while goin around, but kickflips and tre's..backside flips..stuff like that i usually can't do it cuz i dont wanna snap my board. does anyone else have that kinda situation? i just wanna be confident with my tricks enough that i can do them anywhere, you know? and like, when people yell "do a kickflip!" you can do it and stuff ^^

thanks!

When people yell do a kickflip they most likely won't really know what it is and you can do a shove it. lol

but just flip them off or something if they tell you to do something. haha

It's all about practice bro. I mean, you can't land a trick 7 out of 10 times and expect to pop it cleanly while cruising at a good pace.

Practice the tricks you wish to have more consistently. If you do that trick 100 times a day, you'll have them down in your sleep. Practice is the key.

My advice is just to practice your tricks going faster and faster. But work up to it, don't just go straight to doing them bombing hills and stuff.

Yeah. lol Just practice getting your kickflips 10/10 consistent. Just for like one week dedicate it to kickflips and just do those hardly.

Practice at speed. If you practice hardly moving or stationary your going to have trouble when it actually comes to cruising along your basically not used to it. As for breaking the board are you only scared of it rolling in front of a car when you slip or actually breaking when you land? The only thing i can tell you is land bolts. If you land bolts or close to, you'll be fine and 95% of the time will not break your board, unless of course your board has been severely weakened.

when people yell at me to do a kickflip I just ask them to do a trick for me first.

gradually work up to speed and keep your weight centered. It just takes practice. And for the people who shout out for you to do tricks just keep rollin. They dont skate and dont know how good you are all that matters is that you know and other skaters know you can do it

okay like try landing your tricks in your driveway or something then once you get them down like try going down a street that isnt busy or like just dont skate sidewalks

yeh usually i never do tricks when going from point A to point B, mostly bc i dont want to fall behind if i mess up, and the roads around here are pretty effed up. plus yeah i dont want to see my board be crushed by a car

well i have that problem too.
if im cruising and want to pop a trick, i dont want to because i most likely wont land it while people are watching, and if they arent, im too afraid to land the trick. like if i do a moving kickflip, ill land it, but ill land too far back, and fall backwards while the board runs away. lo

yep! I never do tricks while riding on a sidewalk or a small narrow space. It feels cramped up or maybe it's just my OCD.
