View Full Version : 25 Ways To Describe the Southwest (My best thread ever)

Let me just start off by saying that this has been the most incredible trip that I've ever been on and I've witnessed things that some people will never get a chance to see. It was also a photographer's dream to be at some of these places, and I did the best I could with what I had.

I met a lot of interesting people and I saw a lot of "photographers," and when I say that I mean people with D80's or 5D's shooting in Auto. It was embarrassing for them, to say the least. I also met a guy shooting with a D2X. He really had no clue how to use it, and said that he just bought it to get better pictures. We compared each others and mine were better. What a fool.

The only downside of the trip was the lack of my tripod. The head snapped right off in transport, but I guess that's what I get for trusting airline baggage people.

Anyways, please take the time to look at each picture. I hope you enjoy each one. They have given me so many memories that I will never forget. Full descriptions are on the flickr pages, so check them out if you feel like reading. As always, you can view them larger there too.

Thanks,
-Lee

The only thing I do in PS is add borders and slightly alter the selective colors. I hate using PS haha

ahh isnt it awful when people buy really good cameras and just use them in auto. they think just cause they're expensive and good they can automatically get good pic with them, it takes more than just pressing the button lol

i'm loving your photos, awesome colours and perspective and all. i'd start saying the ones i loved the most but theres too many haha :P

Hahah photoshop? You make me laugh! The only thing that has PS in it is the one landscape, which is a converted IR from my Hoya R72. The only other thing I do in PS is add borders and adjust contrasts. Silly boy.

As far as the cameras I use, here is a list from another website:

Bodies:
Panasonic FZ8
Minolta x700
Yashica GSN

Lenses:
Raynox DCR 250 Macro
50mm f/1.7
28mm f/2.8
80-200mm f/4.5
0.42x Af Macro (gross)

Flashes:
Vivitar 215
Minolta 320x
Sunpak DF

Other
UV Filter
Polorizer
Hoya R72 IR Filter
Bescor 20/40
Broken Tripod
Joe's PT-04's
eBay Slaves
