^ i thought this title would get you in here ;)

ok, i'm sure you Christians get allot of hard hitting questions, but brace yourself for this biggy...

Now Jesus was apparently a carpenter right, but what if he had been a musician instead. So lets say Jesus is playing tonight at some place and you go to check it out. So he brings out this guitar that his dad made (the carpenter)
What is his playing like?

from what i know about jesus so far i came up with this.....

Jesus always spoke to people in terms they could understand. His speech was simple but very thought provoking. He didnt really talk over people. I would think his melody would be simple but very memorable.

Jesus was pretty controversial and he wasn't scared to speak out. I'd imagine that he'd be pushing the boundaries of music by playing something they've never heard before. Maybe some way out rhythms

Some of Jesus' illustrations, he didnt explain, so i think his music would have a bit of mystery or eeriness to them. Maybe the bridge of the song didnt seem to fit.

Jesus seems to me to show emotions which is essential to music. I'm pretty sure it wouldnt be all "happy happy joy joy" but there'd be some sadness or some anger in it. Maybe a painful solo.

Jesus was very giving. I guess he'd be a bit of a crowd pleaser and put in a few upbeat dance parts to get everyone moving. Might even make them some wine out of water ;)

so yeah thats all i got. If you disagree see if you can back it up with scripture. cause i couldnt.

^ well yeah, i guess he had some contrasts such as sun is shining is a bit eerie, three little birds is ultra happy and get up stand up is powerful. But i think reggae isnt as versatile as rock music in as much as the groove is always very similar and the lack of guitar.
If i were to pick out jimi hendrixs emotional contrasting pieces i would pick..
machine gun, the screams of war and pain
Remember, very happy and upbeat
castels made of sand, very sad, somber and reflective
voodoo chile- heavy rock
Little wing, elegance and beauty.
I think hendrix gets these feels because it's not all groove based. you cant bop your head to all hendrix songs as you can most rap artists.

Dont get me wrong i love bob marley and there are lots of artists i love but dont think they have a wide range of emotion. The bluegrass music i listen to is all a very similar feel even though the melody and chords are completely different from song to song.

why are we talking about bob marley, oh yeah, jesus. you're threads been hijacked by bob marley. lol
