My dad left on tuesday to go Run with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. He ran today and he said it is awesome (i wanna try it). It is cool because he brought his camera and is going to film videos of him running (which i will try to post when he gets back). So i just thought it is pretty cool. Do you know anyone who has ran before?

I saw Richard Hammond do it on Top Gear. Looked ****ing scary, deffinately not for me.

Plus i kind of think its cruel to the bulls.

I want to do it, I know no bull will catch me cause I'll be pushing people down to slow the bulls down but I could always jump the fence if they get close.

Cruel to the bulls? All they do is run at the people that are running away. They have like a 1% chance of getting hurt 99% is the people.

Running on the paved roads hurts there feet and makes them fall alot.

Only time I seen them fall was when they tripped over someone that fell. But thats something I don't get how can we tell what hurts them? Thats like science saying our eyes see everything upside down but our brain flips the image (how do we know?), dogs see everything in black, grey, and white (how do we know?), cats can see in the dark (how the **** do we know).

I don't think that running on paved ground hurts the bull, how can something like that hurt something thats close to a ton of muscle?

I wouldnt think the actual running would hurt them but since the "hoof" has no grip or traction i could see them falling alot easier then say on grass. So if they fell it would hurt them but i doubt the actual running hurts

The running is at least better than the Bullfight in the ring, that is much much worse. they have it in a ring and this man called the Torero wave a bright red cape at the bull so it'll charge and he sort of plays around making the bull run, then he puts some spears into its back and still makes it charge with the spears still in, and finally kills it putting a sword into its shoulders or something like that not sure how it goes.

but basically they make it charge and play with it while its suffering and in the end they kill it.
thats worse than the running they have in pamplona

Bullfighting is tradition in Spain, and won't ever go away, regardless of whether or not people think it is cruel.
I haven't been to Pamplona, but I would love to visit during bullfighting season, and definitely would run with the bulls.

And Ibanez, science knows these things because they are studied. The human eye is studied, as is the Cats and the Dogs. Science doesn't just pull something out of it's ass and as believe it.

Exactly what I was just going to say. They can tell by certain features in the eyes of those animals.

We know because of the way light bounces from the object into our eyes. What we see is not what hits the iris, but what hits the retina. When you are looking at an object, the light coming from the top of that image down toward and into your eye will actually hit the bottom of your retina, while the light off the bottom of the object goes up into your eye right to the top of the retina.

That's my little science lesson of the day .

Oh, and I really don't see the reason to do this running, I'd rather not risk getting my ass gorged.

That matador,
(Killer in spanish)

gets points by stabbing the bull and then ending it with a sword through the shoulder/neck.

then the bull is drug around the ring, with the spears in it's back, by horses.

Probably one of the cruelest things to watch,
but it's entertainment.

Yeah people seem to find that really amusing and watch it with real passion.

I still fail to understand how that can be
