Not cartoons but Anime! I won't ever admit to watching it to people that don't watch it (due to feeling like a nerd) but does anyone watch it?

I used to watch Dragonball Z (until they kept showing the same ones over and over again) but as of late Ive been into Trinity Soul. To understand Trinity Soul you'll have to play Persona 3 on PS2 but since I have I love it. I hope they keep the series going. .Hack was a good movie with 8 games you would think they would have enough things to go by for more shows

I just wish they would make Soul Calibur a series or a movie since they made Final Fantasy Advant Children and then some other FF movie.

So whats your favorite anime show/movie.

I have the entire Trigun series on DVD lolz. Watched it straight through twice.
I also have some Ghost in the Shell, and some Cyborg009 (shut up i like it) hah.

Soul Calibur would make an interesting series. Gah, i loved FF7, but advent children straight up sucked. In my opinion.

I never watched the full Advant Children yet. I feel the need to play FF VII first before I play it. Some of the people are in Crisis Core which Im no where near beating. So I don't want to know about it yet.

But is Ghost in the Shell like the video games?

You dont really need to play FF7 to watch advent children, cause it made no sense, it was just a bunch of people swerving around on bikes for half the movie and corny dialogue for the rest :\, i was really excited for it to..
But play FF7 anyway, cause its amazing.
Im not sure, iv never played any of the Ghost in the Shell games. The series is pretty different from most animes though. Has really good animation and its kinda dark and gritty. Like a detective type show. You can check out the first movie, its pretty good.
First one is just called ghost in the shell.. i think. and i think the second is called 'Innocence'?

Oh well I'll check them out but I need to find Final Fantasy 7 first before I can play it.

x_x good luck. Only place iv seen it recently was E-bay, and its quite expensive. Though i did find FF8 at a local game store so you might have some luck. checkout guy said someone came in and traded it in about an hour before i got there. You could always check out them torrents hah

Yeah I got FF8 for like $30 thinking it was 7 (the only real source of light they have are a few lights and 2 big windows on the other side of the store). But still Advant Children had a few people from Crisis Core which makes me want to beat Crisis Core first. I gave up on Dirge of Cerberus since it sucks beyond the word terrible.

Oh **** Soul Calibur IS a movie not anime!

It says 2007 but I haven't heard of it before.

Hah, well thats not too bad, FF8 is also a great game, if you werent already planning on beating it you definitely should. Yeahh, i heard bad things about the FF7 spin off games.

wtf? why havent i heard anything about this o_o..

Hmmm..
"During spring 2001, Chinese director Sammo Hung committed to do a movie adaptation of Soulcalibur and had actor Jackie Chan in mind to star. At first everything seemed to be going well, Sammo was given a $50 million budget and backed up by Namco. Sammo's official website announced its plans regarding Soulcalibur, but after a year later nothing developed. Eventually Sammo's official website removed its announcement and the Soulcalibur movie was presumed cancelled. Unofficial sources suggest that Sammo had lost interest in creating the movie after Chan could not commit a schedule to create the movie. Sammo had forfeited his rights to produce the movie and they were taken by an American producer.

Warren Zide's Anthem Pictures has since acquired the rights to adapt the game to film. It has been stated that the film's story, unlike the games', "revolves around two warriors who are chosen by Shaolin monks to recover and destroy a powerful sword that has fallen into the hands of an evil prince who plans to use it to open the gates of hell and destroy the world."

Nevertheless, other than the copyrights, it provides no further information. The teaser website from 2nd Degree Media (affiliated with Anthem Pictures) have not since released any new information in almost two years since its appearance. The only change is the year release date has been updated to 2007, otherwise there is no mention of any real developments. It is speculated by many that the Soulcalibur movie has been scrapped once again and that the official website is merely an abandoned web page. To further support the speculation, Namco has yet to make any official announcements of Soulcalibur's movie status."

Originally, it was just a Manga, Animated series etc, but they made the live action movie. It was great. I really liked it. I own that movie too.

Oh yeah, they made the sequel for the movie too.. so I guess I should go look for it.

Right now, watching Soul Eater, Naruto Shippuden, Bleach.

Hate Naruto. It could PROBABLY be decent if it shuts the hell up with its lame ass comedy

What I like are:
The Boondocks (some consider it an anime, some consider it a cartoon)
Samurai Champloo (american version)
Death Note (japanese version. american version can go lick some guys nuts)
Afro Samurai
Monster (there's a lot of animes called Monster but I'm talking about this one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monster_%28manga%29)

Monster is my favorite out of those. F***ing awesome story with superb side plots. Don't think it's some whack story about an actual monster like some mutated **** looking creature, it's not about that. You should try it out if you know how to use torrents

I haven't really watched much anime recently but i still would like to get FMA series.
DBZ is still fun to watch at times and my bro has an ish load of dvds i need to watch.

Other than that I'll watch most animes.

Nah brah, you missed the whole point of "Advent Children". It's all about lifeforce which basically is the thing that keeps the planet going. Everything and everyone is part of the lifeforce. When you die you go back to the lifeforce. Kinda like rencarnation. In ff7 shinra was taking away from the lifeforce to make cheep energy, but in order to do tihs they had to take away from the life force. Which in turn was destroying the world. In order to protect the best intrest of their company they infused soliders of there company with the lifeforce to make them stonger.
Now in Advent Children there is a disease called geo-stigma is overtaking the city. Geo stigma is the body..............and I have to go...hmmm..well...theres a deep stroy line.

Cowboy bebop, Blood +, and any movie by Studio Ghiblil.

Anime is like any other genre in that is has a few good productions hidden amidst the endless crap. The goal is just to find the good stuff and shut down every Neon Genesis fanboy.

I'm kidding by the way. Evagelion is one of the good ones. It's just blown completely out of proportion.

I'll be honest, the only anime I've watched in recent days is Yu-Gi-Oh. And to be quite honest, I really enjoyed it.

Especially "Season Zero", which was never released outside of Japan due to it's violent content, adult references and depressing tone. The best part is, they hardly ever play card games, and the main charatcer seems to enjoy nothing more than destroying the odd mind or two. Excellent viewing

Wow never though so many people (well there aren't that many at all...) watched animes here. Well I watch them from time to time, mostly on going ones.

Lets see favorite... huh I don't know, but the ones I really enjoyed are:
Full Metal Alchemist
5 Centimeters per Second
Darker than BLACK
Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora
Fate/Stay Night
Shingetsutan Tsukihime

Hard to say but I guess everything I watched, I actually enjoyed, and I've watched quite a lot.

I think DBZ is how people get into anime but if you guys ever see the unedited DBZ you'll be shocked at how much they had to take out to be shown in America. I saw a battle with Vegeta in it and there was tons of blood in it.

It would of been better if it wasn't a kids show like...Naruto...
