A few of my friends from St Louis came into Philly for a while, and had never been to New York. So we went there for the day. Here is photographic evidence.

I always thought the Punk Scene was really strong in D.C. then it spread after that. I could be wrong?

Punk is big in a lot of places, but thats from a Casualties song that my buddy Steve was singing that day.

I'll probably be in NYC next summer. Find myself some shows to go to. >>

According to my friend Brook(he would want me to plug his music on Crafty Records) the punk scene is pretty dead in New York right now. The old houses have been shut down, and every one is still a little on edge about opening new places. But things happen quickly, so there should be some sweet stuff happening soon.

How about the scene in Philadelphia?

Its awesome, lots of cool houses, great people. There is a very big crust/anarcho scene which I was missing in St Louis. And the folk punk scene is one of the biggest in the country. As always there are some downsides(lots of drunkeness, no cross connections between scenes) but its a great time to be here. Plus This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb is going to be here Thursday.
