Anyone like this? I cruise/skate Goofy but when I want to do a trick I like to do it in Switch(regular). Should I be trying to use my normal stance more often or is it alright for me to do tricks in switch more often than normal?

I think you're mongo. Ether that or you're weird?

Never pushed mongo, always ride goofy and when the time came I would switch into regular to do a trick. Unless mongo also mean something else other than pushing with your front leg.

Skate both ways. Just learn to do tricks in goofy. The stances are EXACTLY the same. your just use to using Regular for tricks. No big deal. Just practice.

Your mongo

I'm mongo? Clear this up for me since I only though mongo was a term for people who push with their front foot. Pretty sure I push with my back leg.

i can skate regular flatground better than i can goofy, and i am goofy.
but gaps, stairs, ledges, rails, ext. ill skate goofy, because my balance that way is better.
i think its rare, but just learn to skate both ways, and you wont regret it.

I do the same thing. I learned to push regular and keep doing tricks that way, so I can push fine either way now, and do tricks in switch.

i have a friend like you. he kills it, he can do any long grind, slide (end to end) in his normal stance, but can only ollie in his opposite stance, which is at least 3 + feet above the coping on any ramp...
its amazing to see

my friend is exactly like you even though he rides regular but his flatland is way better switch even though his stairs and rail are easier regular. It might be a nuisance i know but just keep practicing both my friend is a beast at skating now and when he skate you cant even tell what stance he is cause everything he can do regular he can do switch

Just learn to skate regular. get just as comfortable in regular as you are now in switch, and you'll be fine.

Yeah just skate regular. It will help in the long run! That way when you learn to skate regular, in switch you won't skate mongo either! (That's what I did.)

I'm the same way, but i dont skate mongo though....

I thought skating Mongo meant that you pushed your board with your foot on the rear end of the deck not in the middle or front.

How about you learn how to push the right way before learning flip tricks? People are so damn annoying with this. How the hell do you expect to develop good, clean, stylish tricks if you can't even push correctly on the board? Start over and be whichever foot/pushing position feels the most comfortable to you PUSHING, then you can start to try to learn flip tricks.

My friend used to ride around regular, but do tricks goofy, so he just started riding around goofy and now... well he's goofy.

I'm basically the same way; I cruise Regular, but I do all of my tricks Goofy. I think I just wasn't really aware of it until after I started learning tricks haha...

i dont see why people hate mongo so much, id say im decently good and i push mongo, the only problem see is the ugliness. But people really hate it for some reason

A couple of my friends who are regular ride goofy to a spot but do tricks regular. I ride regular all the time but often pull of some switch tricks at spots.

if i were you i would keep this and justuse it to your advantage, instead of jsut doing tricks regular, when you land a trik do it goofy that way you can become a great switch skater
