i wanna what some people think what the definition for poser would be for a skater

im saying a guy with a skateboard just to look cool but never uses it or rarely uses it
the more you pay the more you look poser

The more you pay? That's acutally stupid, some people just like the best things.
And posers can use their board alot actually.. just carrying it with them.

Posers IMO often proclaim they can do a trick, or take a picture of a trick they have never landed.

oh yeah if they pay more their poserish and take their board with them i would ask them to do a trick if they aint using it but i wouldnt even pay for lots of money on anything
spend twenty for the trucks or more not over 40 unless their independent
20 for a board blank is good you could just spray paint or sharpy on it so i like those
some money for screws
and 10 to twenty for bearings bearings r so big a deal ill usually take any skate board stuff if it aint from walmart or other stores like that
skateboards arent worth paying so much for and you cant get that cool looking with a board so i have been using some time to get into building a bmx bike so i could learn some bmx not having too use a skateboard too travel

Its someone who says that they ollied a huge gap but when you confront them with a skateboard in your hand and say let me see you ollie this crack they say they dont have on the right shoes or something.

If your one of those kid with skateshoes that aren't ripped up at all then your a poser.

if you don't do what you say you do, or if you can't do the things you say you can.

From when I started I always kind of thought a poser was someone whe wore a lot of skate clothes but was bad at skating. I never bought any skate clothes when I was bad in fear of being called a poser but now that I actualy skate I could care less about what someone wears haha

Care about the skating, not the bling bling. Have your own style, don't be a copycat. Don't be a critic, skateboarding is free. Be yourself and skate hard. Most of all, have fun!

I've never liked the word poser kind of stupid. But I would consider a poser someone who sais they can do amazing things but not even get close, or, make excuses when you ask them to do it again.

These threads are dumb and we've had a ton of them here. The term 'poser' is dumb too. Why does anyone really care what someone else is doing or if they are good or not? Are they having fun? If they are having fun with it and suck, who cares? It's their fun.

dude i think you got it all wrong. i have a friend who is just starting skating and he can barely ollie. does that mean hes a poser because he cant kickflip or grind? Hes very commited to it to. so you saying just because he cant kickflip or grind classifies him as a poser? We all have to start somewhere...

I skate at least 3 or 4 days a week but suck. Does that make me a poser?

if you skate and love it but you can barely ollie, you are in no way a poser. you are a poser if you brag about being able to do tricks you can't really do, and you spend your entire life spendings on clothing you got from zumiez and pac sun.

if you say you can do something on a board that you really can't. if you have 5 boards you use, and none of them have scratches on them.

Posers are the kids that come to the skatepark with their boards, sit down, watch everyone, then leave an hour later. There are alot of them where i live.

paying alot for every thing is a huge part in poser but if you use it alot its not meaning your a poser because i got some trucks independdents and their already screwed

How does having a nice board you like make you a poser i get them for concave n strength and pop a good graphics just there for a while then its f*cked up after a while
tbh if you like the board and its got a good graphic and maybe pricey dont make you a poser cuz if you skate it then thats all that matters.

some on that sits around at the skatepark holding there board not even watching mutch rather to be on a phone or something,
i sit down all the time and watch for atleast 10 minutes most of the time im at the skatepark.

all these kids wearing dcs shoes n shirts n crap...

i hate that term poser because its used wrongly (in this town any way) a lot of people say again im my town if u suck ur a poser but i think its a persion who is like casper said i just grow up hating that word bcause have been skating for 4 years and i SUCK!!! until my dad built this skatepark and i turned into a tranie skater

my complete was 120+..enjoi deck, grindking trucks, spitfire wheeles, reds bones bearings, shortys hardware, mob grip. i dont see how paying more makes you a poser, if you have the money, and would like really good stuff, then who cares? i guess it makes you a skater that knows what he wants? (im not saying any of that is me haha) idk what makes a poser but i really dont see the logic in "the more you spend the more poser you are"

usually 160-180.
