Here ya go
Tools:
miter/circular saw
jig/circular saw
hack saw
power drill
power screwdriver
Supplies:
1 1/2 in screws
drill bit that is as wide at your screw head.
drill bit that is as wide as the shaft of the screw (not necessary)
bit that will fit your screw
Materials:
1/2 in ply wood...............2 sheets
angle iron-6ft long...........3
2x4...............................3
(which is cut down to:
2x4-2'1"..................8)
2x4-9".....................8)
inch and a half bolts with nuts and two washers(optional)............6
Cutting the plywood:
1 of each-
6' by 2'2"
6' by 10"
2 of each-
5'11" by 1'2"
5'11" by 8"
2'2" by 8"
10" by 1'2"
Assembly:
pretty straight forward. just drill through the plywood into the end of the angle iron. And make sure you are on a flat surface when you're doing this. Note that the 2x4s should go in straight up and down (not flat like in the sketchup picture) they are stringer this way. but if you decide to make handles put them flat on the two ends of the 8 inch side to make room for them. on the high side you'll be ok. heres what it looks like when you're done.

handles:
simple, just sketch out where you want it (minding the 2x4s behind it) and drill on the four corners. use the jig saw to cut it out. i could see it being done with a circular saw but it would be a bit tricky, and dangerous. look at this picture to see how i laid out the 2x4s on the low box

Painting:
(optional, but you'll wish you did it!)
use some old primer laying around the house and paint one coat on that sucker. then run to your paint store and buy some mismatched paint. you want oil base.i got a gallon of gray for 6 bucks. i painted one coat but the primer is starting to show through after some wear and tear. i would now put on two.
Applying the angle iron
first cut the angle iron down to 6ft.
use the drill bit that you picked out earlier. the bit should be able to fit your screw head in it if drilled to the point where it just begins to break the surface when it reaches its full circumference. and thats pretty much what we're gonna do. drill through the iron until theres about a millimeter wide hole through it. put in the screw and it should be flush with the bar.
heres a picture where you can see a hole that i didn't use because of there being a screw under it.
