Hey guys, I'm getting my little brother his first board next week. He's just turned eight. Any tips for how he should start off getting used to it? He's too young to use the local skatepark at the minute and when I started I just went for it... I was drunk a lot of the time too... He's really nervous of skating too. He freaks out sometimes when he gets on mine but his will be smaller and I know once he gets used to skating he'll love it!!

Get him a mini, thats what i started out on. For practice.. just have him push around the neighborhood until hes comfortable riding the board. Once hes comfortable then he can move on to ollies and other stuff..

well, i tried to get my little brother into skating, my mom even bought him a little mini flip deck thts like 7.4, but yeah he lost interest and went to scootering....fag....but anyway dont push him because thts what i did and i made my brother hate it and thats why he scooters now but yah just let him get get comfortable riding down the driveway and stuff because hes really young. when he gets comfortable and a little bit older then suggest to him to try ollies, shove-its, etc. but man he could be the next alex midler =D
