I bought some DVS Farris black jeans, and I decided to wash them along with my other new school clothes like some lakai/girl shirts, volcom pants, etc. and the DVS pants are faded just a tiny bit! but im pissed, it's very non-noticable, but theres all white blotches of like detergent or something, that can only come out with deep scrubbing, it pisses me off..... do u guys wash your black jeans? im not washing these every again.

EDIT:And yes, I followed the instructions. tumble dry low, no bleech, mild detergent, cold water, etc.

I only wear cheapo jeans for skating now, those that you don't give a toss if they get ripped or dirty. I picked up a pair in carrefour yesterday for 6 euros, is that a deal or what?

$50 for a pair of jeans is CHEAP. and you get what you pay for, always. Most companys just throws tons of black dye on jeans knowing most of it will come out after one wash. if you want a quality pair of black jeans check out selfedge.com/shop or get some A.P.C.'s (the cheapest pair of quality Jap denim youll find)

okay well except for the advertisement in there, i agree with bdotwells .

if its REAL black denim, then you have to wash it a certain way.

you just wash, and hang dry them.

haha sorry didnt mean to advertise.. its just one of my fav. shops :)
detergent is harsh on jeans too. try soaking them with just a little bit of detergent or scented soap if you just washing them to get rid of the smell or a little bit of dirt
never put them in the dryer.

yea dryer isn't the smartest thing to do.

did that by accident with my raw denim jeans. not too happy bout that. but luckily they are fine.

Why does it matter what they look like. Its just white blotches or whatever. Its not like some kids gonna be like oh eww you have white stuff on your black jeans whatta loser. At least it shows you wash your pants.
50 bucks is alot for jeans. To me anyways. I get like 15 buck jeans from Kohls. Hawks or whatever. work fine.

for any jeans with certain washes (whiskers, acid, dirty, ect)
before washing, turn them inside out. this will help prevent fading.

also, make sure you wash darks with darks!

also, if you need to, go out to a store and for about $3 you can buy some black dye and dye them black again...(i would most likely do this after a couple months of wearing them)

i wish all of my clothing, its pretty nasty if you dont wash your clothes cuz u sweat and then it becomes dirty clothes and eventually your clothes are gonna smell horribly if u dont wash them.

I throw all of my laundry together, haha. I just wash it on cold with non-bleach liquid stuff. If it fades.. oh well, I still wear it. If I tear them to hell.. I still wear them. Although I have had some stuff get screwed up before from hard water stains when I lived in Florida that looked pretty bad that I quit wearing, but other than that I don't worry if something fades.

make sure that you wash dark or black jeans (and shirts, actually) inside out!!! maybe i am the only stupid one, but i didn't do that for a long time and stuff faded and things, but now that i do wash stuff inside out, the colors stay in better :)
