I CANT FIGURE IT OUT!

I go down...then up then face plant...as my board flies away laughing at me..

I cant lift my front trucks on the way back down and honestyl im terrified to try it more than i am now, i need a suit of armor, maybe that would help...i dont know

Any tips on getting over coping fear?
Or getting over the coping on the board...? lol

((i didnt know where to post this, im sorry if this is the wrong area))

im guessing your trying a rock to fakie, well go up the ramp at a moderate speed and let your trucks just roll over the coping, then when you are ready to go back in lift your front truck, not too much but just enough to clear the coping, dont lean too far forward or you will lose balance and the board will shoot down the ramp or too far back or you will lose balance and the board will shoot up the ramp, keep balance until you are safely on the flat.
hope i helped :)

Um...another question, how do i go moderately if im going down one side and coming up the other fast. I hope that doesnt sound stupid

It's easy. Try it on kickers first.. or something, but if you want to try on a QP then that's fine. When you go up at a fast enough speed, lift your tail slightly, and just tap the tail again, while pushing forward to get back down. It's hard to explain, but just keep trying.

when ure going up the ramp, go moderately fast, not extremely fast that u air out, but just fairly at a fair speed.

ok well the only thing that worked when i had this fear was just do it! dont think about aything but rolling away with this trick, you just gotta man up and face your fears bro, and most importantly, dont give up!

Ive only done it on a wedge ramp type area. One was set up here |\ then another like this /| , [\___/] OBviously the ramp it self was not as steep...lol but it has no coping, and its so much easier, at least once i get the nerves out and concentrate on my balancing lol

i learned my first rock to fakie on one of those small 1080 kickers. then it just came natural to me on a qp. if youre really that scared wear pads or something.

try not to pump when dropping in and when rolling up the ramp

I have all the padding. THe knee pads seem to make it hard for me to work my legs though, yes they are the right size.

I will try not to pump when i get down to the bottom area, see if that works, thanks

here is my bit of advice.
alot of people first learning how to rock to fakie tend to stand up on the deck then try going down, or put too much weight on there front foot when trying to stall.

keep your body leaned inside the pipe, pretty much parallel with the top of the ramp. then just stick your front foot out once you get the wheels over the coping, tap your board on the coping then bring your front foot back towards yourself. doing all this while you are kind of "floating" leaning inside the pipe. then all you need is the commitment to to hold those front wheels up jsut long enough to get them back below the coping, put em down, and roll away fakie.

the rolling away fakie part is what gets alot of people. also try doing switch rocks. a little harder to get to them than regular ones, but much easier to get out since you are coming out of them regular, itll get you the idea of coming out of a rock.
