I still need to paint it and also add a coping.
I'll post some more pictures when it is completely finished.
If you want a plan just ask.
Kowycz 10-16-2008, 12:51 PM Don't leave it outside, because that oriented strand board (OSB) doesn't play well with water. Other than that it should be pretty good once you get some coping on there. I suggest adding a little bit of a top deck behind the coping (at least like 9 - 12 inches).
scotty 10-16-2008, 01:00 PM well we are putting some tarpolen over it and also we are building a separate top deck as well.
STLOUISCHAMPS 10-16-2008, 01:02 PM that looks sweet. it's just not that wide
AlmostaSkater14 10-16-2008, 02:31 PM Yeah my friend built a quarter pipe just like that. How much did it cost you to make? And if you got the scrap wood for free, where from?
NikeSkater 10-16-2008, 02:38 PM nice but could be wider

It was free but it was stuff that my grandpa and my dad had in their back gardens, however the under part of the ramp was sterling board which was like £15 from a sheet and I think you and get the ply wood and the 4x2s pretty cheap from any sort of wood company. Think my dad got most of the wood from Rembrand.
Adding up everything about £35.
AlmostaSkater14 10-16-2008, 04:47 PM so thats about say 50 bucks in american. Not bad... I could work with that,
Kowycz 10-17-2008, 11:37 PM well we are putting some tarpolen over it and also we are building a separate top deck as well. Tarpolen? I am guessing it is something like a tarp, just because it sounds like it. The water that runs on the surface of the pavement might still cause some trouble. If you keep it in the grass it may still be a problem because some soils drain slow. Just giving you the heads up; wouldn't want to ruin a nice quarter pipe.
LandBolts 10-18-2008, 12:27 AM thats pretty sick, wish i had one.

Yeah, it's a tarp made out of pollen. ;) -jk
Nice ramp! Looks a lot better than the one I tried to build.

I will wrapped it all around it so the water will not be able to get in through the pavement either, so thanks for the heads up.
Kowycz 10-18-2008, 09:03 AM Now there is only one thing left to do... shred it.
BigDogSkater 10-18-2008, 09:54 AM ya i wanna see that thing in action once u got it set up. Post a vid if u can that would be awesome. I wish i was "mechanical" i am a theatre student i know nothing about building anything.

scotty 10-19-2008, 06:27 AM about £30-£35 so about $60
fallenNJzero 10-19-2008, 07:16 AM pretty nice would be awesome if its wider, and just keep it out of the rain...rain is not woods friend
txmassacrepony 10-23-2008, 10:42 PM well looks pretty nice there. u should defianatly add like coping and a little deck. and maybe get 4 wheels on the back so u can bend it over and roll it in to the garage
