I still need to get it up to 10 inches, but the box is going to have the dimensions of 2'x8'x10" as of right now it's 4 3/4" high (the 2x4's and the 3/4' ply wood over the top)
as you can see I need angle iron and a piece of Masonite. I'm thinking masonite is like what, 1/4'? )correct me if I'm wrong please) and since it comes in 4x8 sheets, I could cut it into a piece that's 20"x8' and put that in the middle, then have 2 inches on each side, get some angle iron that's 2 inches and put that on each side(if angle iron is 1/4 inch thick like the masonite, if it's say 1/2 inch thick, then I'll cut TWO sheets of 20"x8' masonite and double them up. This way I have angle iron that sits flush with my box.
I still need to figure out the best way to hold it up to 10" while it's still stable, yet not too heavy. I was thinking of just cutting some 2x4's into like 9 1/2" pieces, then sticking them under the ramp with the other 2x4s, maybe one every 2 feet (knowing me and my desire for stability it will be between each rung already there) and then just getting another two pieces of 2x4 that's 8' and just running it along the bottom and then a 20 inch piece of wood to hold those two the right distance apart.
anyways, this is my friend Bradley and I's project (He doesn't skate, we were just bored and tore up something with wood and decided to use it, so this wood is all used, all I'm going to have to buy is Masonite, angle iron and maybe 3 2"x4"x8' (one extra for other uses)) and my dad helped us out a bit so if you look at the first picture we traced our hands and put our names, hahaha
