Ouch!

While skating the MegaRamp in Sao Paulo, Brazil Danny Way has apparently suffered a serious, but recoverable injury to his back. Sources close to us mention that he’s in the hospital with broken vertebrae and will not be able to return to his skateboard for up to 6 months.

That was the only spot on the landing which he could have done that to his back! Talk about unlucky :(

Oh I saw it now! WOW! See thats what sucks about the mega ramp...its has to be built each time and tested, and I can see the testing faze be where things can go wrong!

Dangg. It always happens to him. Breaking his neck? While surfing, almost killing himself on the megaramp at the x-games, and now this. =\ Hope he recovers, does this mean less of a part in the new plan b movie :(?
^it may but it may not. the plan b video i think is coming out in like summer 2009 and he probably already has some footy saved
but anyway that fall was terrible. he landed in pretty much the worst place possible. i wonder what happened to him when he was going down the ramp that caused him to bail

damn dude that looks extremely painful. i wouldnt be surprised if hes back on his board in four months though, after seeing him at x games get up from that right after

I've heard of people running around after getting shot multiple times. Or those guys who were involved in a vehicle accident and were saying they were "fine" just before they died. I guess the endorphins and adrenalin numb the pain... temporarily.

The shorter ramp didn't give enough lift to cross that bad spot I guess. At that height and speed, the impact on his vertebrate must be severe looking at how he hover over the ramp for a period of time; its must have absorbed most of the impact!

He's still probably going to stay out the same time though. Because He's almost got paralyzed and had serious injuries so many times. Hopefully he'll be back, and we'll see some more stuff from him :D

He will be back in 4-6 months. go back to the mega. Then I give him two more weeks before he is out another couple months.

I dont actually want to watch it, the idea of watching somebody break such vital bones and nearly kill themselves just doesn't appeal to me. Sounds rough and I hope Danny recovers very quickly.

Must take some serious guts to do the mega ramp and the other high profile stuff he seems to do, I know for sure I wouldn't even consider it.

Wow, that sucks. It looks like it hurt so bad. I hope he has a good recovery. I was just thinking about him last night watching Robbie Maddison. People were saying that he was crazy for doing that and I told them they should see some of the stuff Danny Way does.
