We needed a thread on it in this section for some time now...
*FS = Frontside
*BS = Backside
Keep in mind FS and BS is switched in nollie. Don't ask me why...
These 2 have a difference in air and approaching grinds
*note: there are LOTS of tricks in skateboarding, and I'm just going to put the most common tricks on flat [and by common, I mean normal names, not nightmare flip or nerdflip or anything], grabs not included)
Ollie - Where you get into the air by popping down on the tail and dragging your front foot up. Most fundamental skateboarding trick
(Pop) Shove it - When you scoop the board so the board goes 180 but your body stays the same in the air. Pop Shove it is when you pop it, and it goes into the air. Shove it is when you simply force it along the ground. BS Pop shove it goes "infront" of you, FS shove it goes "behind" you. There are also 360 shove its (board spins 360), 540 shove its, and so on.
Ollie 180 - When you do an ollie and spin 180 with the board following you. FS 180s are generally easier, and its when you spin so that your front is facing in the direction you're moving in the 180 transition. BS is when your back is facing in the direction you're moving in the 180 transition. There are also 360 Ollies (you and board spins 360)
Kickflip - When you ollie, but flick the board with your toe area so it flips once.
Heelflip - When you ollie but flick the board with your heels so it flips once.
Varial Kickflip - BS shove it + Kickflip
Hardflip - FS shove it + Kickflip
Varial Heelflip - FS shove it + Heelflip
Inward Heelflip - BS shove it + Heelflip
360 flip - 360 BS Shove it + Kickflip
360 heelflip/Lazer flip - 360 FS Shove it + Heelflip
360 Inward Heelflip - 360 BS shove it + Heelflip
360 Hardflip - 360 FS shove it + Kickflip
FS flip - FS 180 + kickflip
FS heelflip - FS 180 + heelflip
BS flip - BS 180 + kickflip
BS heelflip - BS 180 + heelflip
Bigspin - 360 shove it + 180 body varial (in the same direction as the shove)
Gazelle - 540 shove it + 360 body varial (in the same direction as the shove)
Bigflip - 360 flip + 180 body varial (in the same direction as the shove)
Gazelle flip - 540 flip + 360 body varial (in the same direction as the shove)
Half Cab - Fakie Ollie 180
Full Cab - Fakie Ollie 360
Half Cab flip - Fakie 180 kickflip
Half Cab heel - Fakie 180 heelflip
Full Cab flip - Fakie 360 kickflip
Full Cab Heel - Fakie 360 heelflip
I'm just covering the tricks you would normally see in a GoS or something. I did not include tech **** like pressure flip, late/underflip, stuff like that.
Feel free to add...
Boy do I need a life...
