View Full Version : Cabballerial Guide (Fakie 360 Ollie)
Etnieskater 10-15-2005, 07:20 PM Cabballero Was invented by...Steve cabballero, Its a 360 Fakie Ollie. Before You Learn this Trick You Should be able to Fakie ollie, and Half Cab.
1. Set Up In The Half Cab Position. Back Foot Like Fakie ollie, Front Foot Just Under Bolts.
2. Pop a Fakie Ollie (Higher than You Would for a half cab, If Your Just learning these).
3. Start Spinning, When Ur at 180 degrees in the air, start Tucking Your Shoulder in making the next 180 spin faster.
4. If you have to you can spin a 270 and pivot or slide into a 360.
5. Ride Away Smooth.
I hope This helped Someone, Im Gettin a Cam soon. Ill edit this with a Video when I get my Camcorder :)
Sk8tboar 10-15-2005, 08:03 PM pretty good but i woulda stressed the point of turning your shoulders, it makes a HUGE different. Great tips!

thx and turning your shoulders....but like i do a half cab but pop it more than usuall and then when im at 180 i kinda turn my shoulders more inside and it spins it faster..another 180
Stevie Hunt 10-16-2005, 07:12 PM do you guys wind up your shoulders alot before you pop as well ?
Im Taken Aback 10-16-2005, 07:24 PM do you guys wind up your shoulders alot before you pop as well ?
Yea, you have to.
Etnieskater 10-18-2005, 01:38 AM do you guys wind up your shoulders alot before you pop as well ?
yea, but once u get better and can spin them faster you dont have to wind up as much, and spin ur shoulder, tuck them w/e and it looks better.
Stevie Hunt 11-01-2005, 05:31 PM ahh right cool, do you guys do them bs or fs or both ?
Etnieskater 11-06-2005, 02:47 PM ahh right cool, do you guys do them bs or fs or both ?
i can do them both, when i get my cam ill post them :)
donthatejustsk8 02-09-2006, 11:06 PM just pretty much go fakie, then throw your body, and land. thats how i learned it.
jesushadherpes 02-09-2006, 11:15 PM backside ones are alot easier for most but im a frontsside person so i can do em both ways.
fuzzilius 02-10-2006, 06:10 PM *ahem* Sorry, but I think they're called Caballerials.
Etnieskater 03-14-2006, 11:56 AM *ahem* Sorry, but I think they're called Caballerials.
ive you've heard cab or when he is in a comp they say cabellaro, full cab, cabellarial, 360 cab, fakie 360. whatever, just as long as you knwo what they are.
AlmostASk8r92 03-19-2006, 11:02 AM ive landed a few of these...they are really hard. I usually do them backside
skateAWS44 03-21-2006, 06:32 PM I can do them both ways, but you really have to stress the winding up before you pop so you can really pop and turn at the same time. Doing them frontside hurts my groin after doing the splits a few too many times trying them.
$JIMBO$ 03-21-2006, 06:46 PM whoa thanks when i did them before i could land them but not as good as when i tucked my shoulders thanks man
Shorty's_Kid 03-21-2006, 06:46 PM ive you've heard cab or when he is in a comp they say cabellaro, full cab, cabellarial, 360 cab, fakie 360. whatever, just as long as you knwo what they are.
yeah, but the correct terms are full cabs or cabellarials.
nice guide!! i've been wanting to learn these.
EnjoiSkating 03-31-2006, 12:51 AM K my right foot always falls off when I am 270 degrees. How can I keep it on?
Etnieskater 03-31-2006, 01:34 PM K my right foot always falls off when I am 270 degrees. How can I keep it on?
yea you just get out of control, try slowing it down and pivot intoa 360 then you get some control and you can learn to spin it right
D Ice 06-13-2006, 02:30 PM Can you do this flat ground?
That_One_Hippy 06-13-2006, 03:29 PM yeah, but the correct terms are full cabs or cabellarials.
nice guide!! i've been wanting to learn these.
steve caballero invented them...so im pretty sure they're caballeros... but then again ive never heard of cabellarials...
Johnny 06-14-2006, 07:34 PM Steve cabalero invented them and named them Cabelarials, probalby because it was an arial manuver invnted on ramps, and his name was Cabellero. But ive heard them referred to as many things as well.

Yeah, thats it. Caballerial = Steve Caballero's Aerial trick. Just like there is an Elguerial, a caballerial invert made by Eddie Elguera.
It doesnt really matter, so long as you dont call them Cabello's like some people I've seen.

yea ive heard cabello, cab, full cab, caballero, caballerial, 360 cab, double half cab lol..most commin is defenitly caballero, full cab, and in snowboarding most people at my school call switch 360s off the nose a cab.
cool skater man 07-30-2006, 11:07 AM i love this trick
ISkateZero 08-08-2006, 08:10 AM What exactly do you mean by tucking your shoulder?
Etnieskater 08-08-2006, 05:25 PM What exactly do you mean by tucking your shoulder?
If your just learning, and when you wind your upper body, try winding your arm in front farther so it tucks against your upper side of chest...
scumline 12-02-2006, 02:07 PM nice dude
gobigorjustgo 12-17-2006, 03:15 AM One of the hugest events just went live on Concrete Disciples-The Quik/Vans/Skateboarder mag "North Shore Bowl Jam 2006"
almostaskater 12-31-2006, 09:54 PM i find that the frontside ones (b/s if going forward) are easier to spin but more difficult to control and the B/S ones are the opposite
xoverthrowx 02-23-2007, 01:17 AM i thought a full cab is like full fakie 360 and a cabbellaro was half cab and pivot the rest...
Varial_222 02-23-2007, 05:42 AM My favourite trick of all time, i have them consistant :)
Roboman 02-23-2007, 08:00 AM i thought a full cab is like full fakie 360 and a cabbellaro was half cab and pivot the rest...
Nah, not at all.
Steve Caballero invented it. Fakie 360 ollie. So it was called the caballerial. Then people started calling fakie 180's "half cabs". Then some people thought that twice the spin on a half cab was a full cab (which pretty much makes sense). The caballerial and the full cab are one and the same.
skullfire1002 02-23-2007, 08:39 AM Haha, if I would've seen this guide yesterday it owuld have helped a lot. I tried to learn these yesterday and it took me forever. I can land 270 and pivot consistently but not the full 360.
mona-lott 04-07-2007, 11:09 AM thanks alot, i would have never thought of just tucking your shoulders in mid air, im gonna try it as soon as i get outside and skate!
rhys7 05-27-2007, 12:13 AM i always thought fakie 360's are just called fullcabs
Roboman 05-27-2007, 01:11 AM i always thought fakie 360's are just called fullcabs
They were called Caballerials cos it was the Steve Caballero Aerial trick.
Then that got shortened to Cabs or 'full cabs'. Same trick.
nochoz 10-01-2007, 05:32 PM how come when i land 270 i just stop? thnx for the tricktip tho
Steve412skate 10-07-2007, 08:19 PM Can you do this flat ground?
I only do them on flat ground. But, i'll throw one down a bank or off a curb or something stupid.
But, i'm just gonna throw my trick tip tut out there (mine isn't the best but, it may help...)
For the trick, make sure you have f/s or b/s half-cabs down pat. Now, for the cab, (don't feel like spelling name out) just set up the exact same way for a b/s or f/s half, and, the way you put your non-popping foot, move it more foward or backward for whichever way your doing the trick, and, make sure you have your shoulders winding up whenever you're bending your knees to pop the trick. When your popping it, you want to unwind your shoulders the way your spinning, to give you that extra momentum and extra umph to get you spinning. For the landing, just set it down nice and easy. Thats about all I can do / say for right now. lol...
Hopefully this mayyyy help someone out.
Bnasty 11-11-2007, 04:41 PM if i spin a 360 the board flies away like a foot so i can't land it. i've tried leaning forward and everything. and i can never do a 270 pivot because i always don't spin enough or my feet aren't set good enough to pivot. frustrating trick.
Preston951 12-31-2007, 02:35 AM cool, thanks!!! This really cleared things up!!!
pooldogfromoz 01-02-2008, 07:20 AM I'm SOOOOOOOOO close!
They're driving me nuts. When you're rolling fakie is FS/BS reversed?
mikecsfs 04-03-2008, 09:11 PM how bout i jus 180 and then piv...
tetedefontaine 04-14-2008, 09:16 AM thx man been working on these for a while when i can skate again until my hip heals ima try em out thx :D
adriansk8z 08-09-2008, 06:17 PM i need to learn these my buddy always gets a letter on me with this its really annoying and its a really sick trick tho
blythe_popskate 08-18-2008, 10:11 AM Just got this trick like last month on dial, pretty good for a game of skate trick as well build up to it. im trying it with a flip in it after watching KOTR 2007 and seeing jake do one over the spine at the volcom park wich was sick as ****.
Irideplanbs 08-27-2008, 08:58 AM aren't they also called full cabs?
Merging doublepost
I'm SOOOOOOOOO close!
They're driving me nuts. When you're rolling fakie is FS/BS reversed?
I don't think so. because your body is still turning the same way.
Mitchell.B 08-27-2008, 09:22 AM Cheers for the advice i'm gonna try it
GridgeSauce 10-27-2008, 06:14 PM *ahem* Sorry, but I think they're called Caballerials.
one of the few people who actually know what this trick is called. it IS called a caballerial and it is named after steve caballero. just like the elguerial(a fakie 360 invert) is named after eddie elguera.
FeDeX 10-31-2008, 06:45 PM nice trick, but is rather hard. I can fakie ollie and i can half cab but fakie 360 ollie is to hard, i fall of the board when i try it. what can i do?
tsidewayz 11-03-2008, 07:35 PM Hey wouldnt you call that full cab ?
consilience 11-23-2008, 08:47 PM i just started landing f/s cabs though i barely leave the ground and often have to crank out a pivot.
f/s is the same rotation as when ur skating regular/normal right?
i have no idea how you get height with these. they aren't too hard to scrape on the ground, just fugly.
